Product Information

Realize the bass drum sound you've always craved.

The Powersonic bass drumheads give the drummer controlled mid-range and low end for the most powerful bass drum sound that's It, right out of the box.

The Powersonic bass drumheads are constructed of 2-ply 7 mil Mylar with two specifically placed internal subsonic dampening rings with External Snap-on Dampening System (ESDS) technology. The two mounted 3/4" internal dampening rings enhance low end without affixing trays or hard-backed dampening materials to the drumhead.

The unique patent pending ESDS system employs snaps mounted directly to the drumhead to eliminate the possibility of vibration. This allows you to easily customize your muffling, feel, and sustain for different playing situations by "snapping" the strategically placed weighted pillow to the drumhead. Also included is the Falam Slam for added attack and durability.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

A Suprised Evans Friend

Well I went to my local store to pick up an Evans Emad head, and I was told they had ran out earlier that day. I need a kick head and I was leaving out of town with my drums the next morning. I decided to go ahead and give the powersonic a try.....WOW....What a great suprise. It had more bottom end then I could ever ecpect from a head. And It was so deep and punchy. Great Head Guys

From the desk of an EMAD lover

I've been using the EMAD for years now, reading mixed reviews on the powersonic, decided I had to try it for myself and I'm so glad I did, I'm able to get much more tone out of the powersonic than I was with the EMAD. The only test now is how long it will keep that tone. Time will tell. For those EMADers on the fence, definitely give it a try.

!Left Speechless!

I just bought this head yesterday from my local Guitar Center and I gotta say this head is SWEET! The snap on pad is one of the coolest features I have ever seen on a bass drum head and it works very well to! If your willing to spend $40-$45 (depending on taxes) you will not we disappointed at all. I highly recommend this head..!

Great Head...Fairly Short Lifespan

I remember the first time I read about the state-of-the-art ESDS system. It seemed as if Remo had personally designed a custom head to my personal specifications; two-ply over single, internal dampening rings, a quick pillow additive to suppress overtones vs. allowing the head to vibrate freely, and the addition of the falam patch for added attack and durability in your choice of clear or coated. I chose the coated version for added warmth, focus, and durability & as I expected, I tuned the head to my liking, snapped on the ESDS system, and added the falam patch to the most gorgeous bass drum sound I've ever heard. Strong and punchy mids & lows, with few overtones, and a great feel. I have yet to test the clear powersonic, but I'm faithful that it will have the same appeal as it's counterpart. The only issue that I had is that after approximately 1-2 weeks, the middle snap of the pillow had a nasty habit of detaching itself (after a couple blows from the kick pedal) from the snap on the head. I'm not sure if this was because I tuned the head lower than normal standards or because I lean towards more complex beats that result in using the head more frequently, but having your bass drum alter its specific sound in the midst of a song is quite irritating. Other than that issue, the Powersonic has been my choice for bass batter head; pair the Powersonic with my choice of the Smooth White Powerstroke 3 on the resonant side & your bass will sound superb. Now it's your choice if you are looking for the warmth & focus of coated vs. the clear version. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone is willing to share their personal "TESTED" preference between the clear & coated Powersonic head. My e-mail is DMcCrudden29@gmail.com.

Best Bass Drum Head out there!

I've played on a quite a few heads before I came across this one. I love the removable weighted pillow. It gives a great attack for the styles of music I play. Some people like to stuff a pillow inside the drum but I prefer to leave my bass shell completely open to get the full resonance of the drum. Personally,I feel that this is by far the best bass head out there for rock/metal. Check it out! -Tommy "Bigcat" Iannotti
