I find most people use this head for their snares, but use them on my hi tom and floor tom and let me tell you it has the perfect depth that you wont find with any other heads without using "mufflers".I definitley recomend this to any hard hitter whos looking for low tones, instead of the muffled boxy sound!...suerte!
I use this head on three of my snares. It is great if you are a hard hitter, they are virtually indestructible. The only problem is that you really need to tune them a lot tighter than 1 ply heads in order to get a good sound out of them.
I've had this snare for about a week now and once it breaks in..... WOW! Real nice tone and dark pitch. I've got to say that it was a very nice surprise. This is a great buy. Highly recommended!
