The wide selection of cotton print fabric finishes provide great visuals.

Originally from West Africa, the djembe drum has spread around the world to become the hallmark instrument of the world-beat movement. Since at least 500 A.D., the djembe has been used in healing ceremonies, rites of passage, ancestor worship, warrior rituals, and social dancing. The MACK TRUCK of djembes!

I have owned a 14in djmebe for a few years and it sounds as good as the day I bought it. The ability of these drums to withstand rain/water/heat/snow... anything...is a huge plus that set sit apart from other djembes. These things are indestructable. Huge sound as well.

AMAZING DRUM!!!

This is the most amazing Djembe you will ever hear. It has great bass tones and awesome highs. The tuning style is a lot easier than the traditional way, and it stays in tune remarkably well. I would reccomend this drum to anyone from a hobbyist to a professional drummer. They're more than amazing, the Remo Djembe is everything you ever wanted in a hand drum!

buy this!

I have had my 12 inch Remo djembe for about 1 year now and really like it. The tuning method is far from traditional, but works so much better in my opinion. The drum also holds its tuning extremely well. A variety of sounds can easily be produced and rim shots are very loud. It sounds great with or without a microphone. I really like the overall sound I get from the drum. Its durability is unbeatable as far as other djembes go. Defiantly buy this if you are interested in a djembe. You will not be disappointed.

AWESOME

I love this drum. It has a great bass sound to it, i just want to keep playing it over and over. The tunning style is different, but I still like it. Its also easy to grip with your feet and was obviously built to last!

This drum may not have the real traditional look that some folks like with the head laced in place, but this drum has a wounder full sound. I can't stop wanting to sit down and play. this drum will make any musician very happy. The fiber skin being synthetic does have a very smooth finish that is not found on natural skined drums, but I like it!!! The "earth" finish is not smooth like the other finishes so my legs can grip it.
