This is the best snare head i bought. I originally had a emperor coated and it had so much ring. So went to guitar center and picked this snare head up. Bam!!!!! Right when you put it on the snare and tune it up a bit, great attack sounds wonderful No muffling needed. By far my favorite Remo head
This Remo Controlled Sound X snare head is the best snare head I have ever used (along with Emp.X) anybody who is still using the old Controlled Sound snare head NEEDS TO GET A CSX HEAD!!!!!!!
I walked into my local Guitar Center with all the intentions of buying a snare drum head by another brand. However the drum associate pointed me in the direction of this drum head and I decided "why not" I'll give it a try. I put it on and with a little cross-tuning WOOOOOOOOW, it gave my snare the punch I desired along with a solid feel all wrapped up in a very good price. Needless to say I'm very pleased with this purchase and would without a doubt recommend it.
