Awesome head

Well, I busted my snare drum head a couple weeks ago, so I went to my local Guitar Center to buy a new one. I went into the drum room and asked the clerk what he recommended and he told me this was a great head, so I took his advice and bought it. I put it on my drum, hit it, and I was amazed. It sounded so much better than my old one, especially with the sound dot in the middle. It was much easier to roll on it too. Bottom line is, if you want a great snare drum batter head, and you like saving money at the same time, this is a great choice.

Good Stuff

I can tell you that I am a hard core drummer, I have gone through 3 sets of skins, 4 different crash cymbals and about 400 pairs of sticks in the past 3 months, and when I got this head, 2 days after I bought it, it was like love at first sight. I love this thing, sounds great and doesn't cave with the pound I give it. I highly recomend this item. Thanks a lot, TJ

Wonderful Head

I used to have this head on one of my snares and I loved it. It gave a good amount of built in dampening, but didn't kill the drum's tone. It's a pretty durable head as well, depending on how hard you hit. I haven't used this head on toms, but it works wonderfully on snares. Go ahead and try this head for yourself!

Perfect Snare Head...PERIOD!!!

This head is GREAT! I've worked with some of Remo's other heads for my snare, and luckily, this one stood out among the crowd. I've had it for a while and it still hasn't broken on me yet. Give it a try and I'll guarantee you that you won't regret buying it

Excellent Sound

I got this head on my Ludwig Supraphonic 5.5" and it brings out the true sound. You get the warm tone without the ringing. I used to use a basic coated head, but I got tired of having to muffle it. Thinking about buying this item? Give it a shot.

AMAZING HEAD!!!

huh... looks like I am the only one who gave it 4 stars... don't get me wrong, this head is amazing, it has the perfect "pop" that I am looking for in a head. There are only 2 problems with this head. 1. although the sound is great, and my next head will probably be this one, really the only place you can hit it is in the dot area, or the sound is just all overtone. 2. These heads wear out pretty quick... i've not even had them for a week and the head looks like i've had it for a month. other than that this head is very, very well made with minor setbacks, try it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Nothing better!

I have been though many a snare head, Evans "hd" Dry, "ST" Dry, Aquarian studio and Focus X..Etc..In the end I dont know why I waste my money looking for something else, The road always leads back to this Remo CS reverse dot head! It is simply the best sounding snare head I have ever heard and I have heard alot! It is awesome Live with an ear splitting crack, it takes away just enough of the ring but not to much, it just makes any snare sound incredible! Dont bother with all the gimmicks and dry this and tough that...You want the best head on your snare? Hit the order button Now! This is the Best!

Where amazing happens

This head has proven to me great tone and little to no resonance after being struck. I bought this head recently to try something different from the coated Pinstripe, and I was quite suprised how well it's done for me these past two weeks.

BEST SNARE HEAD OUT THERE!

The Remo Controlled Sound reverse Dot snare head is the best one you can buy. Before I bought the head, I had resonance and snare buzzing problems, but this head made them all go away. Never before have I hears such a beautiful rimshot!
