Overview

Made from only the finest American Hickory, with the famous Regal Tip finish, feel, and balance. Joe Calato developed the original nylon tip drum stick over 40 years ago. Regal Tip was the first company to install their own dry kiln so that they could control the manufacturing process from the kiln drying of the wood, to the matching and pairing of sticks.

Calato was also the first to upgrade the quality of the sticks on the market by grading them for straightness of grain, weight, color, and warp, and then match each pair.

YES!

By sticks much?

from Gainesville, VA

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

These are them. The perfect sticks! They have a great grip. When hands become sweaty grip gets tacky. That allows great control and grip on the sticks. I use the rock type. buy them now!

last forever

By Nick Royal

from Alanta, GA

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

I have used the 7A nylon tip sticks for over 4 years. only till last month did they break. I have tried to branch out to other brands and I can tell you that RegalTip are the longest lasting of them all. these sticks are now the only brand I trust, and you should too!!

Great sticks

By bustoff

from Dexter ME.

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

Been using these sticks since the 70's and have always liked them they take a beating and keep on going. Good price compared to the new designer sticks. I'll probably be using Regal tip rock sticks as long as they keep making them.

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

These are the only sticks I use. Jazz and Rock, in both nylon and wood tips for different situations. Straight, balanced, slow to chip away on the hi hat edge. The finish is the best in the industry. Just the right amount of smoothness, while allowing confident grip.

AMAZING STICKS

By Santos

from Bellflower, CA

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

I used to be a Vic Firth guy. I wanted to go faster on my drums, but they were slowing me down because they were a tad bit TOO heavy for me. So I went over to my local Guitar Center and they recommended i give these a try. I won't switch back now. These sticks are amazing, they trully are. I can go SO fast with this sticks, they are VERY hard to break, depending on the size you get, and they have life in them, like the other guy said here. These drumsticks are amazing. SO GIVE THESE A TRY!

Regal Tip drum sticks

By Ray Thackston

from Douglasville, Georgia

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

Buy them, you will love them. I have tried them all, and these sticks are a cut way above the rest. I play a hard lick on the snare with alot of rim. These sticks will whittle down until you can bend them easily. But they don't splinter off. The 5A has a thick neck at the bead, no popping off or breaking at an angle and damaging...or worse cutting a head. It has been years since I have split a head due to the stick breaking off. I do alot of stick twirls and throws with catches, and they make it easy to control the stick with there tacky coating. Not to much as to be sticky but just enough to improve stick control. Do yourself a favor and buy these sticks and try them. You will love them as I do. You could NOT give me FREE sticks by any other brand, it's Regal Tip or nothing for me!

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

I have used these sticks most of my life! Lately, most people have been out of stock and telling me they can't seem to get them. I started to panic, but found them at guitar center.

      44 years and counting

      By Mick McDermott

      from Taylorsville Indiana

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

Been using Regal Tip Rock and Jazz since I started at the ripe old age of 11, tried others but always came back for the feel and the quality. All others felt like I was playing with two baseball bats Regal Tip Rock sticks feel like an extension of my arm.

Great sticks, but buy in store not online

      By David Ahl

      from Minneapolis MN

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

Regal Tip sticks are great, their proprietary lacquer really helps the grip. My only gripe is buying the sticks online. I bought a dozen pairs and 4+ pairs are warped, which means they will break sooner since they are always being hit on the same side instead of rotating. Buying in a store allows one to roll the sticks on the counter to reject warped ones.

      Nothing else will do

      By TORRI PANTALEON

      from Omaha, NE

Comments about Regal Tip American Hickory Drumsticks:

Got my first pair of Regal Tip nylon tips in 1964. You can't "beat" them. Have tried other sticks as part of a promotion or given to me as gifts. No comparison with Regal Tip. have also used different models depending on the gig venue. 5A & 7A are my favorite. The finish gives great grip and the sturdiness of Regal Tip is unmatched. I play hard, band members over the years have even complained at my loudness. My point is that Regal Tip sticks have lasted and lasted through all of the pounding. What's even better, is that when they start to get worn out, we give them away during gigs because even in that state, they are still in good enough shape to use as a giveaway "gift." I hope Regal Tip never goes away! Thank you for all of these years of great service and reliability.
