This is a really good compressor for the price. It won't color your tone like a dynacomp, but can really brighten up your clean tones and add a ton of sustain. I often turn the compression all the way down and use it as a boost pedal as well, which sounds really good. It gives a lot of boost in the midrange, making it good for solos, good for kicking a tube amp into a fat overdrive, and great for adding a little extra gain to your OD/distortion. This is literally the smallest guitar pedal I have ever seen, so it's worth a look if board real estate is at a premium. I can't give it 5 stars for two mostly insignificant reasons. One is that I feel like the lithium ion battery is still a work in progress. When the battery is low, it seems like my tone is affected. This could just be all in my head, I don't know. Second, although not really possible due to pedal size, it would be nice to have a knob to control attack. It sounds good enough where it is set, but that extra control would be amazing.
