Absolutlely love these strings. Usually I play a medium string, however, with the Red Strings, I use the light. The sound is incredible for fingerstyle.
these strings are terrible. I just put a set on my Gibson songwriter and the G string was dead right from the start. I took them back and the manager let me pick out another set so I tried martin lifespan sp and they sound 10 times better.
I have tried these strings on two different guitars , a Takamine 2009 ltd with spruce top and mahogany back and sides. And also on a Takamine EAN15CX with cedar top and rosewood back and sides. The low E and G strings both sounded dead right out of the package. Its very strange because the other four strings sounded ok . It was the same result on both guitars, one guitar uses end pins , on the other guitar they go straight through the bridge. So I know it was not the guitar. I am going back to using D'Addario EXP16'S OR DR EXR-12'S you can't go wrong with either of those.
I bought these strings a while back from gc on a two sets for the price of one deal as soon as a played them i was hooked although they are expensive they will last a 5 months easy they keep there tone well too. my only complaint is the look ugly after a couple of days besides that they are amazing strings
These strings made my guitar sound warmer and my guitar is usually a bit bright on the other types of strings. When I hit the third string, the guitar would not have the following somewhat noticed boom sound. These strings have the same high quality as any another string brands. I would buy these strings again. I would encourage for anybody to try them.
The warmest out of the box string. Put a set on my new Martin. Wow, 15 min to break them in and 8 hours later they sound great. Now to find a price break on a box. 33e
Just bought these earlier this evening after a guy told me about how mellow and warm they sound. And I already love them. I've been wanting something that makes my guitar sound a bit better (It's not the nicest) and I was stunned. Definately something new to try.
Put these on my D-35. Changed the acoustics/EQ of the guitar in very definite ways. The reassuring bass (almost overpowering) of the D-35 was replaced with a more "equalized" sound... the bass was no longer dominant, but the overall volume of the guitar was not affected. It was still LOUD! Great for vocal accompaniment or when you're playing alongside a bass and you want more of a "middle" sound. They won't be my everyday strings but when I need to "fit in" acoustically, I'll load these up.
