Overall I'm happy with these racks. I would suggest haveing a set of threaded taps just in case you run into the same problem I did. You'll also want a good drill to help fully seat the screws.

They all look good and are very sturdy for heavy amps. I have had a few problems with the rails not being fully threaded for rack screws.
For something you have to assemble, it should be cheaper.

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

I was looking for a rack to place a PA, recorder, CD Player, and other items into, as these items were spread out and took up a lot of space. This rack brought them all together in a neat stack with easy access for all.
It was easy to assemble, total time about 15 minutes.

    Excellent Product!

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

I got the 16U rack. It was very easy to build. It's strong and looks great in my home studio. I bought casters from a hardware store so it's easy to turn around when I need to patch cables in the back. Since they don't put the sizes here, the 16 space is: D-15.9' H-29.6 W-20.38'. The only thing that wasn't smooth was getting the screws in, but i switched to an electric screwdriver and it did the trick. Bottom line, excellent product!

Nice rack but difficult to assemble

    By WILLIAM

    from El Cajon, CA

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

This is a nice rack that looks good but is difficult to assemble. The wood panels are held together with really long wood screws and the pilot holes may be a little too small because it is impossible to assemble by hand. I had to use a power drill and even it stalled-out. I was also worried that the screw heads would strip with all of the force needed to get them installed. Once assembled it is very sturdy.

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

I purchased the 20 space rack. I considered building one, but by the time purchased the wood, rack rails and screws, I would have ended up spending more! Sure it's pressed wood, but if you use it for what it's intended (a studio rack) then it will do its job just fine.

I mounted this 8-U rack cabinet into a space underhanging my mixing desk stand - it looks great, seems sturdy and represents good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and would certainly buy another.

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

This is a nice rack and looks good sitting on my desk. Instructions were easy to follow and I had it assembled in less than 15 minutes. Be aware that this is not a portable rack. If you need a rack to take your units to and from the gig you need to look for something else. But if you're looking for something to mount your unit in your home studio, this is a nice addition.

Save yourself money and look into building one yourself. You can probably have a better rack built by the time this one gets shipped to you

Rack was easy to assemble and works great. Looks nice under my computer desk with assorted rack gear installed. I added some adhesive felt pads on the bottom so it won't scratch my floors.

Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack 4 Space Just Works

                By Lenny Gemar

                from Coeur d'Alene, ID

Comments about Raxxess Black Oak Studio Rack:

This is a simple design and works as it should. I was thinking of building (or having built) some custom desktop rack boxes for my home studio. I needed two 4U boxes to go side-by-side, and these fit the bill. I connected them together with screws and T-nuts and they look like one piece. I added rails in the rear to hold power strips and blank panels and popped some 3" holes in the bottom to go through the work surface (for cabling). It's ended up looking very professional and for far cheaper than going the custom route. They assembled easily and the directions were clear (not that you really need them...)
