I have owned this cab for a few days now under an Ibanez TBX150H, and must say I am very impressed with all aspects of this cab. It provides great clarity (a noticeable improvement over a Marshal 412 I played through with the same head in the shop), is remarkably durable, and handles more power than most in its price range. You may find yourself cranking down your bass a bit, as this thing really fills out the low end easily. Mids and highs both come out clear, and with 260W of room you will be hard pressed to find a nice amp head big enough to worry about overpowering it. If you are looking for a cab that will last you years, sitting under head after head as you upgrade, look no further. There are better out there, but they easily cost twice as much. Wouldn't you rather spent that on a better amp head?

I have owned the RG 412 cabinet for almost a year. I have ran 3 diffrent heads with it, First was the RG100H matching head. For the price, It's a great head for a beginner. But leaves a lot to be desired when playing gigs. The clean channel cranked up gets distorted. The built in effects are nice, But limited as far as dialing in depth, width, and so on. I needed it in a pinch and it got me through. My second head I ran thru it was a first generation 5150 head. That thing ROCKED with the RG 412 cabinet! I currently have a Peavey 6505 head. Which is basically the same thing as a first generation 5150 head. I don't baby the cabinet! The louder it's cranked, the better it sounds! Bottom line. If you go with this cabinet. Get a tube head! You won't go wrong!
I gave it a nine, instead of a 10,due to a lack of a speaker out,but that will be fixed shortly.
I have had this cab about a week now,and have been able to put it to the test. This is a FANTASTIC cab for the price. The bass for this cabinet is just plain amazing, with super mids and trebs. The mids and trebs are very articulate and true.I would be super hard pressed to find a better cab at this price,PERIOD.I have paired it with an 80's Randall RG 80(mosfet) and with a Raven Rg100H head. Results for both were temendous. At only a 2 on volume,it is DEFINATELY a house full.
I just played a show last night on this thing, I have owned it since Christmas, and it was impressive, it was the loudest amp there, I got an Acoustic 120 watt head to go with it, and it just screams, you can turn it up so loud it crazy, and it durable, I can not see breaking this thing, unless you are trying!
i got this cab a few months ago. And its great. I got a Raven RG-100 as my amphead.Gives it a cool look too. its a nice power combo LOUD! I got a Boss ME-50 pedal board running to a Roland Micro cube(for added effects) . . this is a good set up for many tones. I play in a Highschool Metalcore band so this is perfict. This is a durrable cab. I highly recomend it. The one draw back i found was it being a mono cab and amp, i got to switch my equipment into it from Stereo to mono. And that it does crackel at high volume. Other than that its a super buy. Im very happy with it.
This cab has great tone and clarity, perfect for any type of sound you're going for. I was using a Vox ADT cab, switched it out for this one and immediately my sound was so much clearer. This thing is great for high distortion, has great low ends and super clear highs.
Its a really great amp, as long as you rewire it to 16ohms. I have had mine for about 3yrs and have had no problem with it. I have used it with a line six spider valve a marshall mg100hfx and now recently my create blue voodoo 120h. Rewording shou cost no more than $60 at a pro shop and it should handle pretty much anything after that. It does give a nice clean sound but at a certain value the clean and distortion channels start to sound the same. It's not the best amp but it's loud. I've played it at many shows and have had no problems. It does get crunchy with too much bass but you get what you payed for.
You absolutely cannot beat this cab for the price. High quality construction, comes with casters, very durable. I was between the B-52 LS412, Marshall MG412, and the Raven RG412. This was by far the champ. I also bought the Jet City JCA20H all tube 20w head during the Labor Day sale for $250. This setup just rocks. The JCA20H has no problem pushing these 412ۡs, keep in mind though you will have to rewire this cab to 16ohms with this head, because this cab only has one option and that is 4ohms, and the JCA20H only has 16ohm and 8ohm outputs. You can find wiring diagrams online. To sum up, for the price you just canۡt beat this cab. Itۡs perfect for Rock, Alternative, Metal, it really thumps palm muting in drop D, the cleans are warm and clear. Seriously consider this cab!
I run an engl special edition through this cab and it sounds amazing! screaming harmonics! heavy bottom end! crisp lead articulation! Great cab.
I ordered this cab to go under my crate fw120h and it is an amazing match, this cab fills out the bottem end alot but it doesn't drown the mids or highs out. it is pretty light so its easy to carry around but it looks solid and very well built, the thing i'm not too crazy about is it only has one speaker in and no outs so you can only put one cab under the head unless you got a y-cord. Over all i would defenetly recommend this cab and i intend to purchase it for other heads i buy in the future.
i have had this cab for 1yr now. i push it with a valve jr and a lea paul. awesume tone and bottom end.it looks like it was built to rock and it is and acustic guitar ran through it is very impressive.very clean very loud and can sound very heavy a must have for anyone looking for a 4x12.
