The Rane SL4 for Serato Scratch Live is the first standalone DJ interface to offer two USB ports, superior sound with 96kHz sample rate and 24-bit digital audio processing and galvanic isolation to eliminate computer noise and interference.
The SL4 connects four vinyl turntables or CD players to your computer and the mixer of your choice. Using special control vinyl, CDs or MIDI controllers, you can scratch and mix files from your Mac or Windows computer's CD or hard drive. This intuitive system replicates the traditional DJing experience for "real feel" usability.
Teamed with low latency ASIO and Core Audio drivers, the SL 4 can also be used as a high-grade studio production tool”all of this in one powerful package, masterfully crafted by Rane.

Comments about Rane SL4 Interface for Serato Scratch Live:
I had been using my SL1 for about 5 years without any major issues. I decided to upgrade for the superior sound quality and ability to connect 4 decks. Overall the unit functions as promised. Recording is clean and the music does sound better however there is one major problem for me. If you are running OS X Snow leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion SL4 will crash your Mac if you plug the unit in after starting Scratch Live. The only workarounds are to remove the Asio drivers or plug in SL4 and then launch Scratch Live. I was told that this should be fixed in the next release of Scratch Live but for now the "Kernel Panic" issue is very real. This was a big disappointment for me. If you don't need 4 decks I would suggest saving yourself some money and headache. Go with the SL3.
