The 270W Randall RV412 guitar speaker cabinet offers a unique and inspired sound with an interesting speaker arrangement. The cabinet houses 2 pairs of Celestion speakers-2 Vintage 30s and 2 G12T-75s, configured in an X-pattern. Built with 270W power handling, the Randall RV412 cabinet can endure plenty of sonic abuse, and still sound spectacular.
Celestion G12T-75 speaker
Featured in the world's top selling 4x12 cabinet, the Celestion G12T-75 is a high powered rock player's dream. Built to meet the demands of high gain amplifiers, the G12T-75 combines a huge, tightly controlled low-end and aggressive mid-range with a softened top-end that adds a welcome sweetness to overdrive, distortion and aggressive upper harmonics.
Celestion Vintage 30 speaker
Celestion's most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton.
X-pattern speaker configuration
The Randall RV412 configuration pairs a Celestion G12T-75 speaker with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker on the top of the cabinet, and reverses the arrangement below for an 'X' design. This speaker and wiring arrangement creates a more balanced sound, combining two guitar tones with very unique results. Whether clean, or crunched, overdriven, or distorted, the X-pattern sound is bold and clear.

Comments about Randall RV Series RV412 270W 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
For this review i played an older Schecter c1 Hellraiser (81/85) tuned to D standard through a Peavey 5150. I play all types of Metal, almost exclusively Melodeath. This cab is rear loaded with Chinese made T75s/V30s configured in an X pattern, and is about the same size as a Marshall 1960B. It has a removable front grill and the MDF back has sound deadening material attached to it. The cab is constructed very solid and the handles are very sturdy. Great fit and finish.
This cab has huge bottom end response that remains tight, and a powerful sound projection that provides that chest pounding feeling. I found it to get slightly woofy only at extreme volume levels, just dial back the resonance a bit and it goes away. This cab gets super loud and cuts very well in band mix, heavy palm mutes and chugs are crisp, and leads sound very articulate. Mids cut through nicely and the speaker combo provides a tone that seems to growl when cranked. Took a chance on this cab bc of its price compared to other cabs (bogner) Only con is that the outer skin is not as durable as Marshall Tolex. Overall very satisfied with my purchase, a solid product from Randall.
