Overview

The RainSong Hybrid acoustic-electric guitar combines carbon fiber with glass fiber construction to achieve the signature RainSong sound and road- tough stability at an attractive price. This glass- and carbon-fiber guitar is wonderfully versatile. Combining the best qualities of large and small-bodied guitars, the RainSong H-WS1000N2 guitar's body shape is suited for a variety of musical situations.

A large, deep chamber gives the RainSong WS glass- and carbon-fiber guitar strong projection and rich bass. The narrow waist and tight upper bout allow for a ringing treble, good balance, and clear definition of individual notes. Overall, the Hybrid acoustic-electric guitar is impeccably balanced. The shapely curves and light weight make the RainSong WS a comfortable acoustic guitar to cradle or stand with. The extra-deep cutaway encourages playing up the fretboard. The N2 neck is a result of an extensive, long-term collaboration with the renowned artist Steve Miller and master luthier John Bolin.

The neck design is based on a modified "U" profile that has been popular in guitars since the 1950s. The N2 has a substantial feel that is ergonomically sound and results in better transfer of string vibration energy to the soundboard. RainSong's N2 features a truss rod that is accessible from the headstock. Graphite does not warp or bow with changes in humidity and temperature. The purpose of the acoustic guitar's truss rod is to allow customization of the relief to suit individual preferences.

At the heart of the RainSong Hybrid H-WS1000N2 guitar is an impressive electronics system, the Prefix+T. This preamp features ultraquiet electronics and volume, bass, treble, and semi-parametric contour controls. In addition to a built-in chromatic tuner, the Prefix+T adds a brilliance control and a phase switch and notch filter to help fight feedback. Includes case.

A workhorse

By

from Cedar Rapids, IA

Comments about RainSong Hybrid Series H-WS1000N2 Deep Body Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've owned this guitar since 2005. It's a work horse. On a road trip, temps in teens, I pulled it out to play - it's in tune. It stays in tune, it's loud unplugged and even more beautiful plugged in. I've had a patron fall on it at a show - broke a tuning peg, and other than a couple scratches the guitar is fine (Rainsong replaced tuning peg for free). It handles the rigors of the road, if you do any outdoor gigs (concerts, weddings, parties) where temperatures can change drastically - you're not retuning this guitar like its wood-based counterparts, you're performing without any worries. Saving up for the Black Ice model next, keep up excellent quality Rainsong, an excellent addition to any working musician's arsenal!

Rainsong HWS1000N2

By

from Baldwin, MD

Comments about RainSong Hybrid Series H-WS1000N2 Deep Body Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have several acoustic guitars but none project as well as the Rainsong. If u play much without an amp, u have to look at the Rainsong. Initially the action was a little high but the model i purchased has a truss rod, which after a little adjustment, the action was great.

A great guitar that gives you freedom of movement

By

Comments about RainSong Hybrid Series H-WS1000N2 Deep Body Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If you are going to own only one acoustic guitar, this is the one to buy. Don't get me wrong, I also own a Martin, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But this is the pickup truck of acoustic guitars (in a good way). My Martin never leaves the house, and I baby it, but the Rainsong goes with me everywhere. It sounds great...almost comparable to the Martin...but the flexibility it gives me is the real reason I love it. It's a no frills, tough, blue collar kind of guitar that sounds great and travels well.

This is the One

By

Comments about RainSong Hybrid Series H-WS1000N2 Deep Body Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been in the market for a year for a new acoustic. I have done a ton of research and I wanted a great guitar and good value. I went to a local GC in Glen Burnie, MD and tried a few Martins and Taylors. This was the only carbon fiber guitar they had. I picked it up and gtave it a try. The tone, volume and projection were just incredible. The tone was warm and well balanced. It is amazingly light weight. The action is fast and low and the neck nice and comfortable. Five months later, my wife finally told me to go buy a new acoustic. I am in heaven with this guitar. The pictures on the website do not do justice to the beauty of this guitar. It has a nice glossy finish and the carbon fiber weave is clearly visible. This is a great guitar for the money. I am very happy with my Rainsong Hybrid and recommend them to anyoen in the market for a new flat top.

This is the one I'd have.

By

from Haltom City, Texas

Comments about RainSong Hybrid Series H-WS1000N2 Deep Body Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Went to my local GC today, and decided to check out the high end acoustics, even though I'm more of an electric player. And I played a few Gibsons Taylors, and the like until my eye was caught by the carbon fiber. I took it off the wall and I was absolutely amazed at the treble and bass response of this guitar! The action was nice and low, the neck has a nice "U" shaped profile. (probably better for those with a decent sized pair of hands honestly). This guitar is pretty light for the sized (obviously its carbon fiber) but it feels really strong and well made. It's a ridiculous amount cheaper than many of the other guitars of comparable quality. And on top of all that, this isn't some picky expensive acoustic that you have to take the utmost care with or it'll crack or dry out or any of that garbage. So I've gotta say that this is the one I'd have.
