Overview

The Radial BigShot i/o is an easy-to-use instrument selector switch that lets you quickly transition between any two instruments and drive the signal to your amp. Because the i/o is 100% true-bypass, it addresses the needs of the most demanding purist.
To further enhance connectivity, input-B is equipped with a level control called DIM that lets you reduce the signal from the louder of your two instruments so that both instruments are matched to the same volume level when they reach the amplifier. When passive instruments are used, a unique 'bright' switch lets you compensate for high frequency loss due to longer cables.

To enhance onstage functionality, the BigShot i/o is equipped with a tuner output. With a simple foot stomp on the MUTE switch, the sound going to the amp is turned off and diverted to the tuner for quiet onstage adjustments. An 'always on' switch also permits on-the-fly quiet tuning should you wish to have the tuner on at all times.

Compact, extremely rugged and completely passive, the BigShot i/o does not require any powering to make it work. This makes it ideal for pedal boards where the use of batteries or power supplies is painful! The BigShot i/o is also perfect for all you instruments and hi-Z line-level signal switching.

  • Toggle two instruments with single foot stomp
  • Adjustable volume control to match levels

Does what it said it would. Nicely

By small time guitarist

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot I/O Selector Switch:

Although a bit pricey, the unit does what it said it would. I have not used the DIM feature (yet). But all in all, when I considered the time it would take for me to make one for myself (and work out all the kinks by doing so) I got something better than what I originally I wanted when I purchased this product. The Tuner switch is a really great feature. Allows me to keep my tuner plugged in on stage and within seconds (like between songs) I can check the tuning if I need to without changing volume levels on my instruments. This is especially useful when switching between 2 guitars and playing outdoors where the climate can untune a guitar or bass that was tuned prior to use. I would like to see Radial make an extension to this product (with DIM s for each input) for when I need to use 3 or more guitars. (ie Electric, Classical, Dreadnought, ++)

Great little switch

By Daniel James

from Austin, TX

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot I/O Selector Switch:

I use this live to switch between my keyboard and guitar, both of which feed into the same effect chain. No tone degradation that I've noticed. The dim option is great for matching levels between the instruments. Nice that it doesn't require power. Better than a mixer in that I don't have to worry about crossover tones; e.g. when I switch to keys and put the guitar down. I highly recommend it!

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot I/O Selector Switch:

I use a 6 string and 12 string both during my two sets and needed a quick way to switch back and forth. the Radial big shot is very basic but does the job perfectly.

      Smaller than it looks

      By Daniel Fowler

      from Kansas City

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot I/O Selector Switch:

My current setup has me running my electric and acoustic into the same amp. Because of this, I was doing a lot of unplugging and rep lugging on stage. I wanted a switch that took the work out of it. This one fit just right. Plus, it is much smaller than it seems in the photos. With no need to power the switch, I'm even more impressed with how well it works. No tone loss and very easy plug and play.
