Overview

The BigShot EFX is a true-bypass effects loop switcher that lets you set up two separate effects loops and insert them into your pedal chain at will. This means that noisy pedals or tone robbing non true-bypass pedals that you 'love to hate' can now be used and completely taken out of the signal path when they are not needed.

Better yet, while an effects loop is on 'standby', you can turn on and off pedals at will and prepare your sound. Then, with one foot stomp you can turn on as many pedals as you like for professional multi-effects performance without the usual tap dancing! Add the BigShot PB1 buffer into the loop and you can now drive as many pedals as you like without adding noise. For those that like quiet tuning, you can use the second loop as a tuner out and the BigShot EFX will mute your signal with a single stomp.

Compact, rugged and plug & play easy to use, the BigShot EFX opens the door to professional pedal management and lets you do it all right at your feet!

Features
  • Instant access to two effects loops
  • Take noisy pedals out of the signal chain
  • Create true-bypass signal path with all pedals
  • Compact and rugged for pro pedal boards

Works as advertised

By chris johnson

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot EFX Effects Loop:

First off, I really like that this pedal uses no power. That's one less plug on the power strip. I bought this for use with my live pedal-board because I wanted to have a clean channel and a heavy channel that I could switch on and off quickly with one click mid-song. This product does that... almost. It's important to understand that loop 1 and 2 are a series circuit. You must turn 1 off before you use 2 or else they will be combined. That might work for someone else's board, but if I had to make a recommendation to the manufacturer, I'd ask for either an A/B toggle switch option or a mode where 1 shuts off 2 and 2 shuts off 1. Really... it's just a minor complaint because I can hit both with my foot simultaneously. It seems wasteful to only have one pedal on a loop this way because you still need to turn it on and off. I'm sure there are plenty of creative ways to work around this toggle issue, so I'm still glad that I bought it.

Solid Product

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot EFX Effects Loop:

Made in Canada, eh? Seriously, well built, (don't drop it on your toe) maybe even a little too heavy for the gig bag. Still, I'd rather pay this kind of cash for something over engineered than made out of cheap plastic. Oh and did I mention?...works like a champ! Very quiet piece of hardware, nice addition to the tool shed. Thanks Radial!

Great Buy

By Daniel

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot EFX Effects Loop:

The Bigshot EFX loop switcher is essential for a pedal player. Rather than shedding pedals, get one of these and put the noisy guys in a loop so when they're off, they are completely bypassed. Used with buffers you can preserve your basic guitar->amp tone AND have a bunch of effects. Really great, nice build quality and a superb value. Cleaned up my rig immensely.

I'm going to need another one!

By WT

Comments about Radial Engineering BigShot EFX Effects Loop:

This thing is great! Lets you select two additional signal path modifications, seperately or both combined. Over the years I have acquired some good stuff. The Line6 JM4 is blast to jam with at home (but the output levels change drastically if you bypass amp modeling), I have several buffered pedals and a Wah, and a really nice sounding Fender tube amp. The BigShot EFX lets me play the setup I want to play quickly without having to swap a bunch of cords, or have 4 A/B switches. My American Strat can be hardwire bypassed straight into my amp for pure tube amp bliss, and with a tap of the foot I can add or remove a preset Wah filtering with distortion and delay, and another tap lets me bring in the JM4 and just jam with backing tracks. Four stars because: I wish they made a four switch version; there is no indication switch states (although the plus side is no power is needed); and once in while you hear the switching take place (but that is price of hardwire bypass).
