Bassbone - the doubler's dream machine

I play a good bit of pit work, and so have to quickly switch between electric and double bass. I've played the N.Y. touring companies for Secret Garden, Grease, and Spamalot this year alone, and this pedal is a dream come true. I simply set the 1 channel for electric bass, then e.q. the 2 channel for double bass, and line out to the sound guy. I also like that I can keep a tuner in the chain without sound interference. This is the quitest and quickest device I've ever used. I have become such a fan that I had all my accessories pockets refitted to hold the pedal in the electric cases. I use Fender, Warwick, Ibanez, and a turn of the century double bass by Baranyi - they all love this thing! I simply won't play amplified without it.

Great tool for live application

Just set it and forget it. Never worry about switching basses on stage again. I can use my active and passive basses without worrying about changing my settings on my amp when I switch between the two. Great sound from this pedal. My only complaint would be that there is not much flexibility on channel 1 due to the preset eq options, but that is no problem really. The boost is a great new world for me as well. When I need to pop out front in the mix I can, and then drop back out when my work is done. I am not a pedal guy, but I love this onee. Seems a bit pricy, until you own it... Trust me it is worth every penny.

Bassbone is a plus for ANY bass player!

I needed a step up from a bare-bones switcher to use multiple basses on my showroom gig in Vegas, and the Bassbone more than fits the bill! You have EQ settings on one channel (VERY usable) and 2 preset EQ settings on the other channel, and between the two you can get equal settings volume-wise, also the switches are completely silent. Also, I read before purchasing that there were complaints of the bassbone sapping your volume. I don't have an issue with this as the volume knobs are completely passive, meaning that the loudest setting on the volume knob is the volume you put into the box. There is a boost knob that provides extra volume but I don't use the boost knob and opt to have the 2 volume knobs close to maxed out. I'm very happy with my purchase and will be using this unit for years to come.
