A DI box with towering guitar tone!

The Radial JDX Reactor is a direct box designed to capture the explosive dynamics and warm tone of the electric guitar by connecting between the head and cabinet of a guitar amplifier to provide a direct feed to the PA or recording system.

100% discrete class-A circuitry, multi-stage filtering and a unique reactive load all interact with the signal coming from the head and the electromagnetic back impulse from the cabinet to produce a more realistic rendering.

In use, the Radial JDX DI box improves the consistency of the guitar signal over a typical microphone, as irregularities of mic placement and varying acoustics no longer play the dominant role on stage. When combined with a microphone, fatter tones can be created by double tracking and stereo imaging the two signals for more "produced" results.

  • JDX Rocks!

As reviewed by b varhelyi on 6/3/2011

I use a Mesa Boogie Mark V, play a lot of gigs with in house sound and sound men with limited skills. This eliminates any guess work and provides an awesome tone worthy of the Boogie and makes my sound consistent/effortless. highly recommended!

  • Just what I thought

As reviewed by Gene Carroll on 7/13/2009

Surprise! I used this on my bass rig. I modified an old Music Man HD 130 amp and run the -10dB line out from my Alembic FB-X1 straight to the 4 tubes of the Music Man. Sounds great and has a neat distortion when I really crank on it. But the line feed to the PA was too "clean". I wanted the same thing I'm getting in my speaker cabinet to go to the FOH. Now I've got it. I only wish it didn't need a "wall wart".
