I have been using this throne for 11 years now. It finally just cracked where the throne bracket and nitro rod connect. I am going to either buy the bracket and replace it, or just buy a new one altogether. Don't get me wrong with this review, I LOVE this throne and have no problems buying another one. 11 years problem free, nitro still works perfectly. This Throne has been through abuse let me tell you. Consider none other!

I bought this throne thinking I would love the bounce. I'm a pretty hard hitter and the fact that it did bounce eliminated my ability to get power from my legs. It's like a moutain bike with shocks that you're just using to ride around town when you really push and try to get speed the shocks take away from the power. So I took it back and got the standard no shock roc n soc and I love it. You just have to figure if it'll work for you. Enjoy

Finally.

By Patrick H.

from Jax, FL

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

this throne is plush. adjustments can be made both with depth and height of the backrest (assuming, of course, that you sprung for the backrest... which you should). after height adjustment is made with the throne itself, there's still that cushion of air that gives it just the right amount of play. to address the complaint in the other review, the throne doesn't affect the speed or power of my kick in the least. sounds like someone needs to work on technique. buy it. it's worth it.

Great Throne

By Dennis

from Westbury, NY

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

This throne does the job. It's a solid, well built seat. The nitro bar makes height adjustments easy. The seat provides all-around support. Upon arrival, I used this seat in a three hour recording session and encountered nothing but comfort. The Nitro is for you if you want durability, flexibility and comfort. GET IT!

The Throne of ROULITY!

By The Jon Not John

from Pa

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

This is BY FAR the most comfrotable throne ever made. Not only is it padded like a clound but its wide seat does not irritate "your seat". A quick pull of the handle automaticly raises or lowers your seat for fast adjustment! No more unscrewing a wing and strugling to adjust your seat. BUT if your thinking that this seat is to good to be true you are right. For the touring musician, this seat can be a hassle. You need a wrench to remove the seat and this can be a pain. But even with this, it is still worth it. Still not convinced? How man ytime have u slipped off you VINAL drum throne from sweat? This seat is FABRIC, and absorbs all wetness. NOT to mention this fabric seat wont tear as easy. BUY IT!

Never sat on a comfier throne

By ChrisN

from Concord CA

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

I purchased this throne awhile back and I still cant get enough of its comfort and quality. Every time I sit on a different throne, I automatically think "man am I glad I didn't get this one" Plus the red color of the actual seat goes great with the color of my kit, Orange Sunburst. Sure, its expensive, but I swear you will never find a better throne out there.

Worth every penny!

By DrummerBoy420

from Seattle, WA

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

At first, I did balk at the price a bit. But after using it extensively, I have absolutely no complaints. The throne I used before was old, and the seat cushion had the tendancy to wobble. This throne is not only extremely comfortable, but sturdy, and easy to adjust. I second the 'cadillac of drum thrones' comment!

The Cadillac of thrones

By Dave

from Plainfield, IL

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

I bought this throne over two years ago when I joined my first serious/touring band and it is worth every penny (and probably some extra ones!!). Plush, comfortable, heavy duty and EXTREMELY stable for big guys. I'm 6'6" 300lbs and I've never felt uncomfortable on this thing for a second. Plus after two years, it still looks almost new despite repeated abuse at 200+ gigs/practices a year. The five leg "lunar" throne give extra stability if you're a big guy, but they don't collapse which is kind of a pain when loading the van. The three leg "nitro" version will collapse but definitely feels a bit less sturdy. Final piece of advice, spring for the backrest! We play mostly 2-4 hour sets and I cannot tell you how much back pain that extra piece has saved me. This throne is a pleasure to have all around. Highly recommend.

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

The Roc-N-Soc throne is one of the best out there. It is very comfortable and rock solid. Never worry about your throne falling apart again or about getting swamp butt.

Excellent Throne

By drummin jak

from Orange, CA

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

This expertly crafted Roc-N-Soc throne is amazing. I used to have a cheapo PDP throne and this throne is so much more comfortable. It has just the right amount of cushion, but because of the design of the seat, it is a little hard to move your leg to do the double-bass heel toe technique. However, it is very nice, especially with the backrest, if you choose to buy it. If you are looking for a round throne, go with the OCDP throne. If not, buy this immediately!

MULTIPLE USE, EXCEPTIONALLY COMFORTABLE DRUM CHAIR!

By Michelle

from undisclosed

Verified Buyer

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

One of the best drum chairs EVER per my husband--he's the drummer. He can drum for hours and he is never sore and he completely appreciates the "bouncy shocks" not found in other drum chairs. However, I (the wife) bought one of these chairs for myself for my work. I have had a lot of back problems with traditional office chairs, ever since I work in a job where i have to sit for 8 hours/day. So, I started using my husband's drum chair to try an affordable alternative. I noticed a difference immediately in my back issues by using the drum chair (not having a back to lean against like traditional office chairs). Not only did it force me to sit up straight (totally discourages slouching/bad posture) but it also helps strengthen your core when you have no back to lean against. EXTREMELY comfortable for sitting long periods of time AND generous seat size. Both my husband and I LOVE this drum chair for different reasons.

Drum throne most important... don't mess around

By John

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

In "Anatomy of Drumming" by John Lamb, the drum throne is singled out as the most important part of the set. In looking to improve upon my intermediate drumming skills plateau, I decided to finally invest in a throne worth sitting in and purchased the blue Roc-n-Soc Nitro Throne & Backrest together on John's recommendation. Best decision I've made in 10+ years. Had I known how much of a difference the way I was sitting made in the way I played drums (noticed improvement in less than 2 weeks) I would have invested more wisely years ago so I could park my dupa on one of these babies every time I picked up sticks. I'm 5' 9", 160lbs. Fits me well with the backrest all the way in, but definitely made for drummers much larger too. This is like an office chair for your drums - as it should be - and it looks awesome. Feels empowering on some level too. Don't mess around with low-budget junk... save the lunch money and go for quality every time!

By Todd O.

from Currently Germany

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

After 34 years of playing, I finally found the right one. With the back rest, it's like sitting in a bouncy recliner. No more lower back pain! Well worth the investment whether you're a beginner or veteran.

Comfortable!

By Gtron

from San Diego, CA

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

Yes, it's just a chair you might think, but what about a 3 set all night gig, where you're sitting for 4 hours?? You want a comfortable stool that pivots smoothly. This stool does it, I highly recommend it.

Comfort is a first!

By Gespinoza

from San Antonio, Tx

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

When I first started playing, I bought a PDP for 20 bucks and when I would practice for more than an hour ir would hurt so much sitting that long. I Invested and got this one and I have no regrets, It is so comfortable and has the bounce, easily adjustable. I highly reccomend it.

Roc-N-Soc Nitro Throne.

By Mike

from Illinois

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

I recently purchased this throne after my last one fell apart. I'm very impressed with the construction of this throne: it is comparatively much more solidly built than most thrones I've seen. The height adjustment is great and the comfort of the cushion is amazing. This throne is worth every penny of its price in my opinion. Search around and see for yourself.

The Best!

By Luke

from West Chicago, IL

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

First off, this throne is quality. My drum teacher has one of these where he does private lessons and it has been sat on 10 hours a day for the past 5 years at least and it still looks and performs like new except for a small tear in the seat (its barely even noticeable) Also this is really comfortable and my back doesn't hurt after I finish playing anymore. Trust me it's worth it to save up for this throne! Did I mention that tons of pro drummers use this throne too?

Si Senor

By Dustin

from Morristown

Comments about ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne:

This is by far the most comfortable throne on the market!! It's got great bounce for drummers like me that like to move and dance while they play, it's super sturdy, and makes no squeeky sounds when spinning which is a problem i've had with other thrones in the past. GET THIS THRONE.
