On The Rode Again

I have owned the RODE NT2000 almost a year now and I am very satisfied!!! I have tried this mic with preamps as inexpensive as the PreSonus Eureka all the way up to the PreSonus ADL-600 and this mic seems to sound great no matter what equipment I use. The variable polar patterns make the RODE NT2000 great for many projects, including interviews and adding range to vocals through experimenting with different patterns. The high pass filter and pad located on the body of the mic help out a great deal when I need to record myself. It makes it much easier to add a little gain directly from the mic oppose to stepping out the vocal booth and changing set positions on my preamp. I have recorded many artists of all genre's of music and if you have a good ear and a nice mix the RODE NT2000 will do what you need it to. The mic itself is a great buy and comes with a shockmount which is a bonus. I would like to see all mic's come with nicer traveling case's but thats not a huge issue when compared to what matters... QUALITY!!!
