The GX7 professional power amplifier continues in the tradition of QSC's top-selling GX Series professional power amplifiers by offering an attractive combination of power, fidelity, configurability, long-term reliability, and overall value.

At the heart of the GX7 is an all-new, advanced power supply based on the road-proven PowerLight Series technology. The result is a more overall power output in a lightweight casing compared to previous GX models—without any sacrifice in audio quality.

At 1000W per channel at 4 ohms, the GX7 provides more than ample power to connect up to four 500W 15" 2-way speakers or two 1000W subwoofers at a time. This will help to keep your overall system cost down while still maintaining maximum performance levels. The 8 ohm output is 725 watts per channel which yields considerable headroom and increased dynamic range for today's popular loudspeakers.

  • Road-proven PowerLight Series amplifier technology
  • GuardRail (also found in K and KW Series loudspeakers) protects both the amp and speakers from damaging clipping and overload without audible pumping or distortion
  • Subwoofer/Satellite crossover built-in
  • Inputs: XLR, 1/4" TRS, and phono input connectors for compatibility with any source
  • Minimum depth chassis (10.1"/257mm) fits in compact, inexpensive effects racks
  • Outputs: Speakon combo accepts 1/4" (TS) plugs or Speakon 2-pole and 4-pole plugs (connects 2 poles only). Binding posts support all other speaker wiring systems
  • Front panel LEDs monitor Power, Signal, and Clipping

Not bad

By Dylan Thill

from Montello, Wi

Im a guy who loves his crown amps I am a firm believer that if your going to spend your money spend it wisely. This amp for them money is a deal. But as a musician and a recording artist the amp gives power. And if you want power there's other options out there for much cheaper per watt. But I think overall this amp is good for its money. For having QSC problems in the past I will say I'm impressed.

I bought it to replace two old crown amps and really the difference is amazing: now only use the GX7 for my subwoofers and my speakers up high. The probe is much better and the power is strongly felt. I DJ with where I say without fear or need for power, I recommend 100%

FANTASTIC amplifier!

By niwin

from Emeryville, CA

This is a GREAT amplifier. I used it to replace the cheapo power amp that was driving my EV ZX4's + Yamaha SW1181. The improvement in sound quality was astonishing! Plus it's incredibly lightweightۡsomething my skinny arms can handle and take to the gig. I used to own a GX3, and I can't believe they were able to cut the weight down while increasing output power. I love all the input and output connection options, and the built-in crossover is perfect for my setup. The build quality is excellent. It feels sturdy and high quality, the connections are clearly marked, and its even packaged nicely. Well done, QSC!

Unbelievable power at an excellent price.

By Robby

from NY, NY

First off, keep in mind this is in their "budget" series of amplifiers. The specs; s/n ratio, thd, and damping could be better, but you'll have to pay hundreds more for the powerlight amps to get studio quality. I just picked this amp up last week and used it at my first gig last night. (it was the 2nd gx7, the first one was DOA and had to exchange it, weird)I'm using it to power jbl mrx515 cabs and it is a great match. It puts out so much power to them, i was afraid to push it to clipping they were so loud. @ 725 watts x2, it's amazing how they pack so much power into a 15.5 lb frame. And for the price, i don't know if you find anything else close combined with the qsc quality. Great value/performance ratio. For my use as a mobile dj, it worked just fine for me and the sound was amazing. This should provide years of trouble-free use. Only negative, i feel the fan could be a little quieter.
