tons or power
I would use this amp for any kind of program - band - dj you name it. very easy to use very lightweight(13 LBS) Simple set up and very powerful.As I am in my late 40s this item will make me feel young at heart. Use it for anything does not have to be sophisticated for quality results. I call this the all in all amp. Again this is very easy to use trust me...

Best Affordable Amp on the Market
I bought the plx1804 because of the price, weight, and power. You will be hard pressed to find this kind of power for this price and you also get Qsc's 6 year warranty. It also only weights like 13 pounds, and a lot of my musician friends are in shock when they pick it up...they are used to lugging around inferior amps that weigh over 40 lbs.
There reason this is cheaper than some of the other plx amps is because it only does 4 ohms and 8ohms, can't be bridged, and doesn't include some of their built in filters (which are obsolete for me anyway...i use a dbx driverack). But if you aren't going to need those features, there is no reason to pay for them anyway.
This amp is perfect for people that are looking for a plug and play system that has tons of power and they want the qsc reliability and sound.

That Dj Guy
It was time to take some weight out of my rack (I just turned 40)so my QSC RMX2450 had to go! I bought this amp hoping it could at lease keep up to the RMX2450 and within minutes of taking it out of the box, I found that punch that I was always looking for but couldn't afford in a package that weighed less than my PC. I don't have to babysit the clip meter anymore! This has the power to man-handle 4 EV tops in a crowded ballroom! Thank you QSC!

PLX1804 ROCKS!!!!!
I'm a mobile DJ and purchased the PLX1804 to power my Peavey SP5's. Let me just say that I this amp totally ROCKS!!!! I was powering my speakers with a totally sub-par Crown Amp and I'm glad I spent the extra bucks for the QSC and believe me, I won't own any other brand for as long as I'm in the business. Forget about the sound I'm getting out of this QSC, the thing is as light as a DVD player!!! Not only does this amp kick my speakers with awesome bass and headroom to spare, I'm not breaking my back carrying it back and forth to my gigs. This amp is a real winner!!!!

No Other Choice For This Amp!
I bought the QSC PLX1804 Lightweight Professional Power Amplifier just last week to go with my JBL MRX subwoofers, and I must say, I am glad the salesman talked me out of the crown amp! Just from instore and the two times I have hooked these up to the amps - THIS AMP MADE MY SUBS HIT HARDER THAN THE CROWN DID! To be honest, to my ear, other amps just did not make the subs hit that hard like the QSC amp did. And plus, you get a free six-year warranty, what a deal! Spend the extra money, you will be happy you did!
