The QSC KSub Powered Subwoofer is the ideal supplement to QSC K Series 2-way speakers for live reinforcement of bass instruments and drums, or higher-level playback of recorded music. Its 1000W Class-D power module never fails to deliver. The KSub subwoofer's M20 threaded pole socket (pole included) provides a secure, wobble-free method of elevating a mid-high speaker over the subwoofer. The KSub subwoofer's compact footprint won't take over the stage, dance floor, or seating area of smaller venues. A pair of high-power 12" speakers in an optimized band-pass enclosure will handle everything the 1,000-watt power module can give them.   • AMAZING POWER!

    1000 Watts is really loud. The bass from the KSUB sounds smooth and clear, with deep solid chest thumping hits. The dual 12" speakers inside really are amazing in how QSC managed to produce the powerful bass this sub gives. I bought this KSUB new from my local GC and in the pictures the casters are silver, but the cab i bought had BLK casters and they didn't rattle either when i tested the sub. I went straight home and set it up and was amazed. 18 inch subs produce a low frequency of 30 Hz, and this sub produces as low as 44 Hz. But 12's are punchier than 18's. The payoff for me in this sub is the full sounding bass of the KSUB and that it's light enough for me to lift and load alone. If you get an 18 in favor of a deeper 30 Hz bass, you'll definitely sacrifice the lightness and need a second person to help you lift it. PROS: It's very light (72 lbs.), it's compact, it sounds great, looks very professional, quality craftsmanship. I'm 100% satisfied. CONS: seriously no downside to this sub.

  • Clean portable bass for almost all applications!

    i have 2 Ksubs and these things rock! I have found that subwoofer placement is the key to getting big bass out of these things. I rarely use both, I just did a party for 180 people and 1 Ksub had enough to knock off some liquor bottles from the bar shelf! I find having the subs facing a wall or even better a corner really amplifies the output. And since they are super portable and low key, it helps them keep out of sight. I can have the sub 10 to 20 ft away from me and the whole room gets filled with loud clean bass! When using the pair, i couple them together side by side and the output is amazing. They work well for dance and hip hop music, which is what I mostly play. Only a few songs with the lowest of frequency I notice the limitations of a 12" woofer. But really that's only about 5% of the music out there. I feel the pair of Ksubs is louder than my previous PRX718 sub but just don't go as low. The build quality is excellent so no worries there. You' ll pay a pretty penny for them, but for me portabilty and flexability were key. When I had 1 PRX sub, sometimes it was too much to bring for parties with 100 people or so, now I have option to bring 1 sub, and with the pair 350-400 people is no problem.

  • Grear for DJ's. Not for Bands.

    I bought one of these subs along with two k12's from my local guitar center. My overal first impressions of this sub was that it sounded good but didn't really have the output or the bottom end that I was expecting. So I bought another. 2 ksubs with the k12's mounted on top sounded great. I have used these for both DJ gigs and running sound for my Dad's band. After having these for about 6 months I finally decided that I wanted more and sold both of them and bought a KW181. Big difference. I can't wait to get another. The ksub's just simply don't have that impact that I was looking for. If your looking for chest thumping bass and you like QSC buy a KW181.
