NEW REVIEW - Beast
This sub is a monster. The casters work very well, the bass is incredible, and it looks great. I'm so looking forward to my next gig, though I will need help getting it in/out of my SUV due to its size and weight.

Un believeable Sub
The way I ended up with the QSC is I had wanted the B52 sub, I bought that and used it for a hip-hop gig, when I got it I used it for one gig, because it was pretty damaged from shipping. I thought the B52 was nice, had some real nice lows, and got some good thump out of it.. But I also thought it wasn't packed very well at all, and if it could not make it through shipping, then it isn't going to make it as a mobile DJ Sub.. So I returned it, and from others recomdations, I ordered the QSC HPR181i.
In the mean time I was loaned the JBL JRX118sp Powered sub that runs for like 740 backs, I didn't like that one at all..
Forward to the QSC.. I ran it last night, and is all I can say is WOW, it is awesome, the heart felt deep lows and thump this thing puts out is amazing, it is VERY well built and packaged. You can see the quaility just in the way QSC packed the sub. B52 should take notice.
The Sub is Heavy, at over 120 lbs, BUT it comes with wheels. Kind of neat the way they did that as well.
But this Sub rocks. I play a LOT of Grunge, Rock, Country music. The Grunge really has some powerful bass. This Sub just kicks it out and adds life to it unlike any other Sub I have used. I always like the way my buddy's Mackie was, but this thing just walks all over the Mackie..
This Sub, to me.. Is in a catagory all of its own.. if you have the 1200 backs for it, go and get it.. You will not be dissapointed, to me, it is an investment in my equipment that was well made.

QSC HPR181i 18" Powered Subwoofer
I really enjoy my QSC Powered Sub. It has a clear bass sound that keeps the party moving and it is very easy to set up. I would recommend this product to any mobile DJ.

Your neighbors will love you...
I bought the HPR181i's to go with the HPR122i tops along with the Numark NS7 and MacBook Pro, I thought I'd get into the hosting house parties for fun scene. Upon arrival of my shipment (all came together), it was easy to see the quality of the QSC's right from the start. The 181i's are HEAVY, there is just no getting around it, but the casters on each corner are like buttah. The handles are sturdy, solid and well made.
Once I plugged everything in, I played my first track; Stanglehold- Ted Nugent. Let me tell you, it was so loud, clear, crisp and clean, I am not ashamed to say that I got a little choked up. I mean isn't that what $4,000+ and 400lbs+ of speakers are suppose to do?
I had my first house party within days of getting everything together. About 200+ with the whole kit set up on my screened in porch facing the backyard. It was absolutely SICK. Everything from country to booty music and all in between all went off without a hitch.
I would buy these speakers 100 times over.

QSC SUBS+SPEAKERS ROCK THE PARTY
I Purchased 2 qsc hpr18" subs and two of the hpr15" 3-way towers to go with em. Ive had them for about a year now an have had no problems with them at all. They slam all night long and never clip or overheat.Ive used them in clubs, house partys ect... Most of the time i dont even turn em up more than halfway. Ive had mackie subs that blew up twice on me. The warranty on these speakers is great. I would reccomend them to anyone unless you have a bad back or no friends to help carry em, its a 2 person job, (they are heavy). Amazing sound quality and built to last. The only problem ive had regarding the speakers is the cops keep shutting me down because theyre so loud! These speakers are worth every penny. I will be buying another sub and 3 way tower in the future. Best speakers ive owned in 13 years, and i play em loud an hard, they take it like a champ every gig.
