Un believeable Sub

The way I ended up with the QSC is I had wanted the B52 sub, I bought that and used it for a hip-hop gig, when I got it I used it for one gig, because it was pretty damaged from shipping. I thought the B52 was nice, had some real nice lows, and got some good thump out of it.. But I also thought it wasn't packed very well at all, and if it could not make it through shipping, then it isn't going to make it as a mobile DJ Sub.. So I returned it, and from others recomdations, I ordered the QSC HPR181i. In the mean time I was loaned the JBL JRX118sp Powered sub that runs for like 740 backs, I didn't like that one at all.. Forward to the QSC.. I ran it last night, and is all I can say is WOW, it is awesome, the heart felt deep lows and thump this thing puts out is amazing, it is VERY well built and packaged. You can see the quaility just in the way QSC packed the sub. B52 should take notice. The Sub is Heavy, at over 120 lbs, BUT it comes with wheels. Kind of neat the way they did that as well. But this Sub rocks. I play a LOT of Grunge, Rock, Country music. The Grunge really has some powerful bass. This Sub just kicks it out and adds life to it unlike any other Sub I have used. I always like the way my buddy's Mackie was, but this thing just walks all over the Mackie.. This Sub, to me.. Is in a catagory all of its own.. if you have the 1200 backs for it, go and get it.. You will not be dissapointed, to me, it is an investment in my equipment that was well made. Q
