Provides 1,000W at 4 ohms in a lightweight design with special protection technology.

The GX7 professional power amplifier continues in the tradition of QSC's top-selling GX Series professional power amplifiers by offering an attractive combination of power, fidelity, configurability, long-term reliability, and overall value.

At the heart of the GX7 is an all-new, advanced power supply based on the road-proven PowerLight Series technology. The result is a more overall power output in a lightweight casing compared to previous GX models—without any sacrifice in audio quality.

At 1000W per channel at 4 ohms, the GX7 provides more than ample power to connect up to four 500W 15" 2-way speakers or two 1000W subwoofers at a time. This will help to keep your overall system cost down while still maintaining maximum performance levels. The 8 ohm output is 725 watts per channel which yields considerable headroom and increased dynamic range for today's popular loudspeakers.

QSC GX7 Stereo Power Amplifier Features:

  • Road-proven PowerLight Series amplifier technology
GuardRail (also found in K and KW Series loudspeakers) protects both the amp and speakers from damaging clipping and overload without audible pumping or distortion
    Subwoofer/Satellite crossover built-in
Inputs: XLR, 1/4" TRS, and phono input connectors for compatibility with any source
Minimum depth chassis (10.1"/257mm) fits in compact, inexpensive effects racks
Outputs: Speakon combo accepts 1/4" (TS) plugs or Speakon 2-pole and 4-pole plugs (connects 2 poles only). Binding posts support all other speaker wiring systems

  • Unbelievable power at an excellent price.

As reviewed by Robby on 3/7/2011

First off, keep in mind this is in their "budget" series of amplifiers. The specs; s/n ratio, thd, and damping could be better, but you'll have to pay hundreds more for the powerlight amps to get studio quality. I just picked this amp up last week and used it at my first gig last night. (it was the 2nd gx7, the first one was DOA and had to exchange it, weird)I'm using it to power jbl mrx515 cabs and it is a great match. It puts out so much power to them, i was afraid to push it to clipping they were so loud. @ 725 watts x2, it's amazing how they pack so much power into a 15.5 lb frame. And for the price, i don't know if you find anything else close combined with the qsc quality. Great value/performance ratio. For my use as a mobile dj, it worked just fine for me and the sound was amazing. This should provide years of trouble-free use. Only negative, i feel the fan could be a little quieter.

  • Good Amp for the Buck...

As reviewed by JMTIII on 6/2/2011

I bought this amp to power a couple of stage monitors...The amp is performing to its capacity and beyond! The inputs and outputs are straight forward and no confusing options/features you probably don't need anyway! Nothing negative to say at this time!...QSC, keep up the good work!!!...
