MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
Warranty Statement - Pure Sound Percussion snare wires are guaranteed against manufacture's defects for six months the date of original purchase. There is no unconditional guarantee against breakage since snare wires are constantly vibrating against the snare head, therefore it is impossible to accurately predict their live expectancy. In order to get the maximum usage out your Pure Sound snare wires, please refer to the information on proper mounting techniques.

SIX MONTH GUIDE LINE
Snare which have broke within six months from the date of original purchase may be returned for examination and possible replacement under warranty. If our examination deems that the snare wire is defective, a replacement will be issued at no charge, providing that the snare wire shows no sign of mistreatment or improper use. Our experts here at the factory try to be more than fair in making evaluations. The examination process takes approximately two weeks from the receipt of snare wires. Replacement snare wires will be shipped as soon as they become available from our inventory.

RETURNED SNARE WIRES TO SENDER
All snare wires which do not meet the warranty guideline will be returned directly to the sender. Snare wires that have been abused, i.e.: not mounted evenly, dropped, uneven mounting hole wear, excessive force used, kinked, etc., and snare wires that are over six months old, will be returned. Snare wires that have been previously replaced, used in lease program, or purchased second-hand, are excluded from this warranty statement. All returns must be accompanied by: 1) A Return Authorization (RA) Number issued by contacting the Pure Sound Percussion Company, and 2) A photocopy of the original numbered and dated sale on store letter head, in order to be considered for replacement. I bought them for a few snare drums i own. I have them on a few drums. I have added them to my Pork Pie and a Tama piccolo snare drum. I love the added response and over all sound quality. I plan on adding them to an older Tama Piccolo snare drum i am rebuilding as well as a PDP snare drum that needs some TLC. You can hear the difference after installation. The cost is high, but its really worth it.

Ever since the day I got these, I have not been able to get decent sound. All they did was buzz, and the second day I had them, one of the wires broke. For the money, I would expect these to be a lot better.

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

I'm the first to be a skeptic when people say things like "sounds like a different drum" and things like that. But that's exactly what happened. The snare wires that got replaced were some cheap chrome garbage that came on my Crush kit. That made the wires a likely candidate in the case of snare buzz. And oh yeah. Fixed the buzz, and got some extra drum-tone unlocked as well. You'd just have to see for yourself. It seems to have opened the drum up a little bit.

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

the snare strands stick out and poke the reso head so I had to file them down so as not to waste my reso head. I like how sturdy they are but it seems consistent that the snare strands stick out. I have a 30 strand and it does the same thing. You will think you just play to hard and are popping resonant heads but it's really the snare strands poking holes in the head. Other than that they do sound really good.

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

These are good wires, comparable to other wires of the same quality and in the same price range. The coils in snare wires wear out after a while. Younger (and poorer) drummers often just keep trying to stretch them, but if your snares no longer engage or get horrific buzz no matter how much you adjust the strainer, they probably need to be replaced. The cost of snares every few years is probably not going to break anyone's bank.

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

I have Puresound Custom snares on all 3 of my wood snares, Premier XPK, Gretsch Catalina, MIJ Slingerland clone. I have 3 steel snare drums that have Puresound Blasters on them. What a difference in the sound and response. I highly recommend Puresound to anyone regardless of what they use for a snare, it does make the drum sound awesome!

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

We have been looking for a way to get a good sound out of my old pearl export snare. These wires are built solid enough to handle the tension required to get the tight, crisp, pop sound that we have been looking for. It also seems like you get less rattle from the bass and guitars from the bottom of the drum after upgrading to these wires.

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

I bought these snare wires and put them on my pearl forum snare drum with a controlled sound x as the batter and a clear ambassador as the reso. and let me tell you, it makes a big differance! it gained sensitivity on the snare, and it got louder! I was skeptical mainly because of the price, but these are well worth the money, I would buy them again!

New Life To An Old Snare Drum

                By Dexter Bercero

                from Long Beach, CA

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

I own a 1977 Tama Royalstar 4 1/2" X 14" steel snare drum that is my main snare to my drum kit. I had changed the heads, both batter and snare sides through the years of playing and only changed the snare wires three times. When I finally decided to change the snare wires again, I gave my trusty snare drum an overhaul by changing the throw-off to a Gibraltar Ron Dunnett throw-off and added the Puresound Custom Series 20. WELL! Ya know what?!!! This old snare drum sounds like a new snare drum and the sensitivity of the snare wires are amazing!!! Just remember, if you decide to buy these snare wires, do not over tighten, I repeat, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the snare wires from the throw-off! If you do, you will not only lose the sensitivity of the snare wires, you will also break the wires off from the end plates! Many of those who don't know what they're doing, (I don't call "many of those" in the same category as "drummers" because THEY'RE NOT) usually do things like this without seeking advice from a pro and/or drum tech.

The best thing for your snare!

                By Daybreakdrummer

                from Palm Coast, Florida

Comments about Puresound Custom Series 20 Strand Snare Wire:

First of all, let me start off by saying that this is the single most important thing to do to your snare in order for it to sound good, besides tuning. For years I overlooked the snare wires because I thought that any set of wires would work, after all, wires are wires right? Well after reading the reviews on the Puresound blasters wires, I decided to switch to those in hopes of getting a better sound out of my snare. The guy at the register suggested me getting the Custom series wires instead. I can honestly say that they made my snare sound the best it ever has! Go get it!
The clips on the snare wires are bent inward towards the resonant head in order to establish greater wire-to-head contact. This feature works flawlessly! The wires themselves are incredible, they sound so much better than the original pearl wires that came with my chad smith custom snare. They bring out the natural sound of the steel shell!!
Amazing quality. There is not one "cheap" part on this product!
For the money, its ok. It is pretty expensive, but considering the sound I have now out of my snare, I would definitely say its worth it!
