Comments about Propellerhead Reason 9.5 Student/Teacher Software Download:
I used Reason 4 extensively a few years back, and now had a project which warranted getting back into the program and buying Reason 9. I love the way it is set up: intuitive, visually clear and easy to use. The built-in sounds are pretty good; I use them in theater settings and band gigs with no second thoughts. Although I use more dedicated software for B3 and other specific keyboard sounds, I can take a whole set-list of songs from various genres and pretty quickly come up with the sounds I need in Reason to play them with a band.
In my current production, I am using Reason 9 as a DJ platform, tweaking music in real time with a couple of controllers. The only thing missing is an easy way to jump between sections on the timeline. To do this, I had to program a separate rewire patcher in Max7. If I have one beef with Reason, it is the lack of this function. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with it and currently use it in all my projects.
