The product was not hard to assemble with the two tools provided, it took about 20 minutes. Right now I have five guitars in the stand: one acoustic, one archtop, and three solid bodies. There is space for all the guitars to rest without touching and the stand is strong enough for home or stage use. It is not easily knocked over and I can feel confident that the guitars are in a safe place. For the money, I think it is a good investment.

I bought this 5 guitar stand to replace an old 3 guitar version, where foam had deteriorated and because I wanted room for another guitar.
On unpacking I noticed that metal frame was less substantial than original and whole thing seemed cheaper. On putting together I ended up stripping a couple of hex threads and hinges needed some bending to align properly.
When I placed guitars on stand I was shocked to find whole thing very unstable, guitars sat almost vertical and did not lean back to stabilize. Comparing old and new stand it became obvious that spacing between bottom foam supports had decreased.
Inadequate spacing of bottom supports is a fundamental design problem and implies designer did not properly test.
Disappointed, I ordered a similar stand hoping it may be more stable and so ended up with both Warwick Rockstand version and ProLine version. Guess what, they were both exactly the same! I am guessing same company makes both and they are just branded with different stickers. What you see in photo and what you get are not the same.
To make stand usable I moved bottom foam support back about 30mm, so foam touched hinge, by drilling two pairs of new holes. Ideally front foam support would move forward a little too, but drilling through steel wrecked my drill bits.
In short, only buy if you have time and patience to modify. You may be better off getting Hercules version, which is a lot bigger but looks more substantial.

Don't particularly care for this. It does hold 5 guitars... its just cheaply made with poor quality materials. I would save my money on something built better, than buy this if I had to do it again...

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

Let me preface this by saying i ALWAYS read way too many reviews before i buy anything, and this one had a lot of bad ones raving about how hard it was to put together and how flimsy it was. Only 2 parts felt cheap to me, and that was the bottom cross bars, which are basically just soft foam, with hard foam underneath that you screw into. However, on the other hand, this means your guitars are literally resting on nothing but foam, and i have zero worries that my babies will be safe on this.

Now, as for assembly, i did it in 20 minutes with only the tools provided, which is a little wrench, and an allen key. If you can follow super basic instructions and have even a little common sense, this should be a no brainer. Assembled, it is smaller than i imagined, maybe 2.5 feet wide and 3 feet tall. But, you dont need any more than that. There's adequate space for all the guitars i put on it, which is currently only 4, being 3 Electrics and an acoustic.

Another note, im namely a bedroom player, meaning i dont frequently gig, and this fits snug into a corner of my room right next to my cab and head and it looks glorious. If yolu want a small, lightweight, easy to assemble stand to simply hold your guitars without worry, and dont for some reason require your stands to sexually gratify your instruments or rub them down with sensual oils while you're away, this stand will work perfect for you.

Absolute trash manufacturing. Cheap materials that are barely held together by other cheap materials. The machine punches on the frame are next to useless and it's certainly not worth the money. Save the cash, buy something else.

Kind of tight to have more than one acoustic. Definitely
Disappointed about that. But I have 4 guitars, 2 electric and 2 acoustic
And it fits nice. Can't put one more acoustic without being way too
      Tight.

      Good.

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

Easy to put together. I used a small flashlight to line up the screw holes, then put each pair of screws in simultaneously. Worked fine. It holds guitars nicely. I avoid banging them together by grabbing the neck closer to the body. Five guitars fit no problem. After reading some of the bad reviews, I knew that those pitfalls could be easily avoided. This item is cheaper at another retailer, so I had GC match the price. That worked stunningly perfect as well.

      Easy Assembly!

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

I was hesitant to buy this at first because several reviews said this thing was hard to put together. If you find this thing hard to assemble .. stay away from sharp objects. It's easy as can be. Very sturdy but you will NOT get 5 acoustic guitars on this rack. It'll take a mix of 3 electric and 2 acoustics.

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

I got this stand to replace all the individual stands when I needed more space.
It went together quickly with the tools provided. Some reviewers said the screws stripped. I guess they were very heavy handed. They just need to be snugged down to be secure. I don't plan on taking this "on the road" so as far as that goes I can't say. It does however work just fine for holding five electric guitars stable and secure without taking up too much space.

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

The stand isn't that solid. The foldable design means the back wobbles around a bit. When everything is set up it's fine, but impossible to move with guitars still on it. That said, the rack does hold the instruments fairly well, if you take the time to make sure they are properly placed on the stand. Cushioning on the bumpers feels pretty good. More than one acoustic guitar would probably not fit on this. I have an acoustic, an electric bass, and two electric guitars on mine and I don't think there'd be room for a fourth. I stripped a screw while building it as the stand is held together using screws with a wood screw type threading.

All-in-all, it does what's advertised for a decent price point, but I can't imagine it holding up for the road.

Very Disappointed - Illusion of Quality, Actually very cheap

          By Chris Silvernail

          from Edmond, OK

Comments about Proline PLMS5 5-Guitar Folding Stand:

Features: It holds guitars. There are no dividers on the bottom, so plan on your guitar bodies colliding with each other on a regular basis. Quality and Reliability: The dividers on the top look like metal, but they are actually hollow and filled with plastic. The body is hollow thin metal. You can bend it with bare hands quite easily. I give it a 0 out of 5.
