I buy a seat for comfort, not flash. I tried all the stools out there and the best value for comfort and price is the Proline 24" Faux Leather Guitar stool. I've had the Proline stool for over a year and use it everyday for a few hours. Liked it so much, I bought more to use in the Luthier shop and everyone thinks they are great. Had a little problem with wobble, but with use the legs leveled out. I will definitely buy these again, especially when GC runs a sale on them. Tried many other brands like Fender, Gibson, Roadrunner and they were like sitting on Rocks. They may look nice, but I wanted something I could use, not look at.

I compared with ALL the other guitar stools at GC, and this stool was by far the most comfortable even though it was cheaper than the others. Also it was a good height for me. But after I got home and assembled a brand new (from the box)stool, the stool had a slight rock ... the legs were not all the same height. I did make the stool stop rocking by shimming the soft plastic feet. I am too busy to run back to GC and exchange for another ... and possibly another ... so the bottom line ... nice design, but poor quality control by the manufacturer.

Comments about Proline 24 Inch Faux Leather Guitar Stool:

This is a very nice stool for playing guitar. It looks good, is well padded, doesn't creak, and isn't expensive. Before I purchased it, I noticed that some reviews said that it wobbled especially on hard floors. However, I was able to adjust out any wobble by slightly tightening the taller legs and slightly loosening the shorter legs. Now it is sturdy as can be.

Comments about Proline 24 Inch Faux Leather Guitar Stool:

This stool is very comfortable, well padded, and is a good height for me (I am 5'8"). It is tall enough to sit comfortably but low enough to still reach pedals easily. The pad is not too stiff and not too soft.

The only con is that the swivel action is a hit on the stiff side. It's a minor con, and certainly no reason not to buy this product. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

This stool i felt was a little pricey so i decided to purchase a cheaper priced stool. AND WHAT I DID WAS WASTE MY MONEY., If your reading this chances are your a guitar player dont second guess this stool. Im 5' 11 200 pounds and this stool fits me perfectly! i used my tools to assemble but the tools that come w it do work but i had real tools and the assembly was a breeze. i havent exp any rocking as other buyers exp. this stool is very comfortable. for the 1st week it was stiff but i play for 2 hrs every nt and it broke in quickly. the foot ring is the rite height and seat swivel was tight at first but freed rite up in no time. i personally think i made the perfect choice. i cant say the other stools out there are not any good but i havent tried them. i can say that this is stool is sturdy perfect height and really comfortable. its worth the money!!!

Purchased after looking at comments fm others about the stool stool seeming a bit wobbly when assembled. I just assembled it as loosely as possible at first and tightened bolts up a bit at a time. The stool is great.

Comments about Proline 24 Inch Faux Leather Guitar Stool:

Guitar stool frame is made from pretty robust tubing, that appears to be chromed. Like others have written, it does rock a little on hard surfaces, but this is not noticeable when sitting on it, even on hard floors. Seat cushion is approx. 3" thick, comfortable, and covered in a textured faux leather which I prefer to a smooth, stickier cover, but it could be attached a little tighter. Swivel rotates very solidly. I am 5'10" and it fits me well. The height of the foot ring is what sets this apart from a usual 24" stool. It is about 10.5" off the ground and raises my leg/legs so they are parallel with the floor and the guitar sits very well. Overall it is comfortable, and you can easily shift your legs around when you feel the need.

                      Rocking Chair

Comments about Proline 24 Inch Faux Leather Guitar Stool:

Well, mine rocks too, because one leg is shorter than the others, so I'll have to sort that (and the reason it only gets three stars). The seat itself is comfortable, and seems durable, and the height seems about right, but I personally prefer sitting in a chair when playing, so this stool is probably not going to see much use. Not a fault of the stool, though, per se. Another problem with it, for me, is that it's too high to use comfortably when recording with a computer because I have to reach way down for the qwerty keyboard and mouse located in a keyboard tray below the top of my desk. That might be something to consider if you play guitar and bass in front of a computer while recording.
