Poor quality and design

By Stan Turpen

from Cincinnati, OH

Chair is not very sturdy. Seat and backrest wobble from side to side. If seat is set at lowest position chair will fall forward.

Poor Design

By Gordon Houston

from Orlando, Florida

I think that ProLine should have actually had someone sit on this chair before they started selling it. The first time I sat in it, It felt like the seat was going break off. They used way too light of a gauge of metal for the seat frame. I added a couple of pieces of iron (2" x 1/8") to reinforce it. It still leaned from sided to side and It felt like it was going to break. The seat plate itself was too small. I started from scratch and added aluminum angle iron both lengthwise and crosswise and also put a piece of steel channel between the thin metal frame. This stablized the seat. It was a lot of work. The seat sits too far forward. If you lean forward, be prepared to go for a wild ride. It will flip over on you. I had to put the frame for the backrest in a vise and bend it quite a lot with a plumbers wrench to make it upright. If you don't do this, your butt will hang off of the back of the seat. The base needs to be wider. I could go ono and on. The only good thing that it has going for it, is the seat is very comfortable. You can sit in it for a long time. I'm an engineer. ProLine should hire one.
