  • WORTH A LITTLE TWEAKING

    This pickguard is really sharp looking and I love the 3 layer quality. I bought it to replace the black pickguard on my new Natural American Standard Telecaster. However, when I went to install it, it didn't fit. The hole pattern lined up perfectly but the cut-out for the neck needed to be trimmed with a dremel tool to allow the gusrd to be moved slightly to the left to fit the holes. Since my trim job was less than perfect, I ended up putting it on my butterscotch Squire Affinity Tele instead. Like the American Standard, the hole pattern lined up perfectly once it was trimmed. (No need to drill anything!) It looks really sharp, especially when put next to my other Squier with the cheap one-ply black guard. Really compliments the butterscotch more than the natural. If you are willing to cheat the fit a little you will love this pickguard. With the plastic was peeled off, it really looks fantastic. I am really glad I didn't give up on it.
