  The versatility of applications, forgiving fit for hole line up, and any single coil lipstick fender style neck pickup is enhanced in overall appearance as well as appeal. It has the ability to be almost universal in matching up against body color and bassic chrome hardware which is an added plus for a non-Fender pickguard. The version I have is 3 play thick with chamferred edges that are smooth as silk - flawlessly finished. This Pro-line Black Oster Pearl truly adds a touch of class and elegance to virtually all Fender and Squire Telecasters reflecting the endless beauty of the sea. Whether the fretboard is maple, rosewood, or ebony - this pickguard suits any design for the neck wood. Remember - virtually all tele maple necks have black dots or white mother-of-pearl dots on rosewood or ebony fretboards which is a standard that favors this Black Oyster Pearl with its abundance collage of white, greys, and blacks with the illusion of chrome reflection. I truly believe that this Black Oyster Pearl pickguard by Pro-line should always be nearby for immediate replacement of standard black or white pickguards. The 3 ply thickness also creates a healthy solid and thick body. For the price which is about half the cost of Fender factory replacement parts - it becomes a win win scenario on every front and translates to a must buy backup to be seriously considered as the pickguard of choice for even the most die hard tele fan. Finally I defy anyone to spot a scratch or dent on the surface that would remotely detract from the guitar's appearance. Perhaps the letters BOP should be the acronym for "Best Overall Pickup", it would be deserving of this title.
