  • Nice quality, killer look.

    I really didn't care for the white pickguard my black USA strat came with...when I picked up a used set of EMG Pro Series David Gilmour pups, I figured it was time for a change. I toyed with the idea of recreating Gilmour's classic Black Strat, but was struck by the looks of the Black Pearl Proline while browsing. Made in Korea, which usually translates into better quality than China. Also, changed out the Strat's white tone and volume knobs, switch and trem tip for black, and the result looks totally sick. Flashy without being trashy. Since, the pearl finish Prolines are actually four ply rather than three, they're a tight fit under the neck but still fit perfectly. My only complaint in that the lip of the included backplate should be about a sixteenth of an inch or so wider all the way around. Still looks and fits good, but the screws are closer to the lip than I would like. All in all, a solid value for the bucks expended.

    Killer looks and fits very nicely on my MIM start.All holes lined up. Also much thicker than the original.If your looking for a change of state on your strat pick one of these up.

  • Clean and Simple

    These are an easy way to dress up even the homeliest of strats. The most complicated part is swapping the p-ups and adjusting the heights. But it looks great.
