Great mic stand, but a little light...

I bought one of these for live use and to use in a studio setting. It does the live thing perfectly - just slap a sm58 on and you're good to go. Great quality, especially for the small price tag. For anything heavier than a 58, however, you had better look into something more heavy-duty. It takes quite a bit of maneuvering to get some of my lighter condenser mics to not tip this thing over. For live use, though, this stand can't be beat!

boom stand

good stand, but came with common problem...the thread assembly where the clip screws on was loose, probably from factory. Easily fixed by drilling small hole and adding small sheet metal screw...not worth the time and effort to send back...otherwise good product, but they should fix that problem.

Good Stand

I've looked every where for a tripod mic stand that will fit the needs of my band. I started to forget about finding a good tripod and move on to round base. Then one day while I was at the Guitar Center near me I found this stand, it was perfect. I can not ever regret buying this stand.

Kind of cheap...

The boom stand is ok, but it's can be unstable when holding the weight of the microphone. I wish the legs were longer.

Nice Stand

I picked this stand up as a back up or to mic my amp during gigs. This is decent stand that is fairly sturdy. The price is a little high but not too bad.
