The Proline Conductor Sheet Music Stand is strong yet lightweight. Solid construction allows the GMS80A stand to support even the heaviest music books. It collapses conveniently for easy transport too. Height adjusts from 24" - 44".
I just returned from the store with a ProLine Conductor music stand. At the store I was impressed with a designed that promised to be rugged. Unfortunately, right out of the box I set it up and one of the cam locks failed - split away from stand completely I am returning to the store now, but I was expecting a quality product from which I would get years of service. I would have paid $20 more to have the critical elements made of milled aluminum instead of plastic.

The ProLine Conductor Sheet Music Stand (model # 100473279) is very sturdy and holds a lot of books. It is very easy to put together, only takes 1 minute. The feet can be close together to save space or spread apart for more stability. One problem is that it is not very portable, but I don't mind. At guitar center, this one and a flimsier but portable one were both $40. I needed more room for my music books so I bought this one. It also can be adjusted to be lower or higher and the part that holds the music can tilt as much as you want it. It can hold a lot of weight. One feature I would have liked that it does not have is the springs that hold the music more securely. I recommend getting this stand if you need a sturdy music stand that you think you will keep mainly in one area.

This stand is a great value for the price. I am in a cover band called party machine. I was always having to give up one of my tiers on my keyboard stand to hold my laptop not to mention that I had to put a plank of wood across the tier. I purchased a Proline conductor stand. It works great for supporting my laptop and my mbox audio card at just the right angle. This just goes to show that this music stand is built strong enough to hold more than just sheet music. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a sheet music stand or laptop stand for stage use!

You can't get more adjustable and heavy duty than this stand. This one's great for keeping around the house to practice while sitting or standing. I absolutely love it! This stand is definitely not light weight for carrying around, but it's fine for collapsing and throwing into your trunk. I bought one for my dad and he loved it too! I've used those flimsy silver stands and this stand absolutely blows them away.

I am happy to find a music stand that is strong and sturdy. Unlike other cheaper made music stands I saw at the guitar center that were flimsy and it makes me think that they will fall down on the floor. It does needs an extra piece to hold down the pages on a music book. But, whether I am standing or sitting down on a chair, it serves the purpose of making it easier for me to concentrate on playing my acoustic guitar and being able to read the music notes at the same time. I think it well worth it for the price.
