I own two of these booms and couldn't really ask for more. The construction is pretty straightforward and there aren't exactly a lot of features you can pack into something like this. The fasteners all work well and without much fuss and hold the position it is supposed to. Overall, not something particularly amazing, but it does its job well.
GC ran a sale on these stands and I purchased 5 of them. I have exchanged them all at least once because the threading from the boom to the mic stand keeps stripping. I thought it may be because I had the boom extended too far, so I brought them in... guess what??? they stripped again. I am working with GC now to find a replacement. The term you get what you pay for really is right here. I would highly recommend that you spend a little more money and buy a better constructed boom.
