  • Worked Great for the Money

As reviewed by Thomas Bowhan Jr on 1/22/2014

After reading the other reviews I wasn't sure I wanted these stands, but after going to the Eugene Guitar Center and looking at them for the money the were made well no bad welds or construction as stated in other reviews and they hold my M-Audio BX8 Monitors just fine they weren't made to hold giant monitors. With the carpet spikes they stick to the floor very well and look much better than Bar Stools. There was no instructions but for most competent people they are easy to assemble. I found them on sale on-line and Nick the manager of Eugene Guitar Center matched the price without question and I am very happy with these stands and the service at the Eugene Guitar Center!!

  • Good for the price

As reviewed by David Ranck on 1/21/2014

IMHO these monitor stands meet my expectations at the price point. I don't see them as being flimsy or wobbly as the other reviews have said but that's my experience. As to the lack of instructions, there really isn't much to putting them together. 2 screws with washers is all there is. I do agree about the cable clips - those are rather flimsy but that isn't a major issue for me. To be clear I am using these with a pair of M-Audio BX5's so I'm not loading them heavy monitors. If I had set of monitors that were a lot heavier I would look elsewhere.

  • Terrible stands, save your money

As reviewed by Shawn Kiefer on 6/11/2013

Just bought a pair of these stands today with hopes of clearing up some much needed desk space and improving the sound of my Mackie MR8MK2 monitors. Opened the box, no instructions, that's okay I suppose as they aren't too hard to put together, but then I start noticing all the flaw, terrible welds, the wholes the foot pegs screw into are stripped from the factory so I'm unable to even use the carpet pegs. The "rubber mats" that came with them to set the speakers on are cut crooked, they are wobbly, and for some reason now it appears my low end is lacking even more and my highs are ear fatiguing. The plastic clips that come on them are a joke, and wouldn't even hold my power cord, let alone my power cord and TRS cable. Not to mention there is hardly any weight to them at all. I'd take them back tonight if Guitar Center wasn't so far from my house. I'll be returning them tomorrow on my lunch break at work. Sucks too cause I had much higher expectations for them.
