Pro-Mark brings you the Mike Portnoy Autograph Series Drumsticks. As the drummer for the band Dream Theater, Mike skillfully steers the course though an inventive blend of melodic rock and odd meters. Mike's hickory stick is slightly smaller in diameter than a hickory 5A with a 747 taper and nylon tip.

Pro-Mark Mike Portnoy Autograph Series Drumsticks

These sticks are wonderful. I only use 2 kinds of sticks, these, and the promark carter model. I use these for nylon tip applications and the carters for wood ones. The stick weight is great, and the nylon tips have a cutting clean sound that makes bells ring out.

Perfect Pair

These are the sticks I've been looking for since I really got into playing. They're not too light, and they're not too heavy. They have the perfect lenth and diameter also. The great thing about them is that the butt end is like a between a 5A and 5B, but the taper doen't get "skinny" towards the tip, this adds a little more weight and strentgh that you can't get with the 5A. Portnoy's my favorite, so to have his signature and the DT symbol on them is cool too. Go buy em! They're worth your money.
