Consisting of two independent Pro Co RAT units, each Deucetone channel can be used separately, in stereo, or cascaded together for insane distortion.
Each channel on this distortion guitar effects pedal is switchable between three RAT settings. Channel A features the Vintage RAT, Turbo RAT, and Dirty RAT, while Channel B gives you the choice of Vintage RAT, Turbo RAT, or Clean RAT tones. The Clean RAT is a clean boost, a tone only available in the Deucetone RAT. That's like having six RAT pedals in one effects unit. Used separately or cascaded, you have fifteen RAT tones at your feet.
The Deucetone RAT pedal features the legendary RAT Filter control. Turn it to the right to roll off brittle high-end frequencies. Having trouble cutting through the mix? Turn the Filter down and allow the natural brightness of your instrument to shine through. The Distortion and Volume controls dial in the perfect amount of gain while keeping the level consistent with your clean tone. While there's no mistaking the legendary RAT tone when the guitar pedal is on, true-bypass switching ensures that when the pedal is off, there is no coloration of your sound.

This pedal could possibly one of the greatest pedals ever created, combining six different
channels of tone in one pedal seemed impossible until ProCo pulled it off. The only thing I dislike is the fact that some of the distortion channels sound a bit similar. I feel as if it's hard to tell the difference unless of course you use the added filter control to really create a new sound altogether. I think a good pedal to much with this one is an equalizer such as the one by MXR so you can really control the distortion sound you're really after. This pedal is best for all levels of guitar playing whether you're just starting out or you're an expert ready for a change. But this pedal, you'll never regret it.
So i own the rat and the Deucetone and i must say that i am able to get way more out of my guitar and amp with this pedal. It is really nice to have the extra set of options compared to the single Rat. I am able to get some really nice classic rock tones out of it and also get my metal solos to sound sick! Great pedal!
