I have logic studio and pro tools and it works great with both. it is fairly easy to set up and use, not to mention it looks great. this control surface definitely puts a human aspect back into fades.
Very solid product. Does everything it says it does and does them well. I bought this product because I wanted to be able to write volume and pan automation with a real fader and not one on screen in Pro Tools. I considered getting a Digi Command 8 but that was a little out of my price range. I am used to mixing on screen so I didn't need 8 faders anyways. This allows me to write volume automation with a hands on fader which provides a more intuitive way to do so. It allows my mix to sound less mechanical and more emotional if that makes any sense. I wish I was able to write aux send automation and such but oh well. Works great with Pro Tools 8.
I was excited for this product, but it did not deliver as promised. Running Sonar 8.5 Producer the device only functioned intermittently, and with limited features.
My computer skills are top notch and I couldn't get this thing to work as advertised. Presonus customer support wasn't any help either. "You need to download the latest drivers" was all they offered. Well, they shouldn't release a product that isn't ready in the first place and "Yes" I know enough to install the latest drivers. Big disappointment.
I purchased the Alpha Track by Frontier Design instead. It was a bit more money, but it installed perfectly, has more usable features and works flawlessly...all the time.
Now I'm happy.
