Comments about Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare Drum:

I had purchased this snare drum as a replacement for my main snare while I repaired it, but I quickly grew to like this. Every snare in my arsenal has it's job, and this one became my live snare. After changing the heads with the evans two ply reverse power dot on the batter and a hazy 300 on the reso, this snare can deliver and gives me a killer back beat. I play hard rock and punk, it fits in perfectly. I love this squaling porker. Get it

Comments about Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare Drum:

When I heard this was a 'little squealer," I thought it was a very small snare, but hen I got it, it was larger than I had expected. Nothing small about it, a good, playable size. I'd strongly recommend it. I am a total newcomer to drums. I came from sticks and a practice pad. This is a great snare.

Comments about Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare Drum:

I purchased this snare on sale as an upgrade to the stock snare that came with my kit. It's got a great, loud pop. I like the finish/color also. No complaints here. I didn't spend a bunch and got a deal product.

If you're looking for a steel snare, this is the one!

Comments about Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare Drum:

I've had mine for a couple weeks now, and the first thing I noticed is that this snare is loud! Sounds great tuned down a bit. Has a little ring to it, but in a live setting it's not too much. I just recorded a session with it and had to use a moongel to dampen the ringing a bit, but that's to be expected with a steel snare. The flat black finish looks nice. The stock heads sound pretty decent. Really solid build quality. The power and attack that this snare has is unbeatable in this price range.

well i got mine today . and boy can she sinq ! , the head sounds like , an aquarian , hi-energy head . Quite heavy the , but what do you expect (; Also , its pretty loud. it sounds really sexy , when you muffle it . i put a shirt on the top by the rim and boy is it heavenly . i like it unmuffled when i play sonqs that involve alot of china, splash and crash cymbals . , muffled for more like jazzy rock tones . i gotta say this snare perfect about almost any genre ., id recommend it to anyone . professional or beginner

            I'm surprised

Comments about Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare Drum:

I picked up this snare when it was on sale last month and wasn't expecting a lot. It's just your run of the mill metal snare, and I needed a replacement. When I received it, the stock heads did not give the snare any justice at all. I replaced them with an ambassador hazy and and a Powerstroke 3 batter - WOW! Impressed is not even a strong enough word for how well this snare performs. With just the right tuning, this thing has minimal buzz and ringing. I have the reso tuned to a C and the batter at an A and I have no ringing at all. I also picked up some extra moongells because I figured it would have the overtones most metal snares have and I don't even need them. I would spend a little more money and pick up a maple snare. I had my eyes on the Black Panther from Mapex, but saw this deal and could not pass it up.
