My Main Drum for Metal and progressive rock. GREAT

I have owned this snare for about three years now, I absolutely love it. It can be tuned in a eide variety and can actually be tuned versital enough to sound like any sanre type, high pitch ringy, High pitched tight and quick, Deep and powerful like AC/DC. In my opinion its a nice versitile addition to any set, especially at the affordable price for a nice black maple.

This snare is a firecraker, the sound of it can fill up any place. I knew about pork pie form another drummer and his sounded great and would fill up the whole church every week, so I had to get one of my own

Stop Reading And Buy It!!!

I've been looking for a cheap Maple snare for a long time. I had a cheap Pacific snare that always reminded me of the Metallica St. Anger album with it's annoying ping. I was looking for a piccolo sound to define my blast beats and I just couldn't find one in my price range. I was finally introduced to this on the sales floor! I didn't buy it at first but a few days later I convinced my self to come back and fork out the dough to bring it home. I am so happy that I did! This drum is worth the money and really easy to tune. Don't let the size fool you, it is loud! The Remo skins that come with it fit the drum well so I'm not planning to buy any new skins until these ones wear out. I havn't found a dead spot since the few two weeks that I've had it and it has excellent bounce. The black lugs and rings place a nice contrast or accent for any drum set. If you look real close you can see the nice wood finish but from afar it just looks black! For a drum this cheap that looks really cool and just sounds great why wouldn't you get it?

This Pig Is Just Awsome!

This Is my first maple snare drum, I bought it and I got to tell you that even with the stock head It sounded cool just tightened up. But then I had a spare 12 inch Aquarian studio X texure coated on it and I tuned it up tight and It blew me away. Sounds incredeable recorded, but the only complaint I have is that try not to do rim shots hitting a lug because it will untune, other than that it also sounds phenominal Live and miked.

Snare

Although this snare is not top of the line, it gets the job done. Its pop has a sound thats good for any kind of music you play. Its great for Hardcore and Pop-punk/rock type music. If you're into good sounding snares for a cheap price this is right for you. I've toured around with The Acacia Strain, Hatebreed, Set Your Goals, and many more. Out of all those tours the only problem with the snare was breaking heads. It was because I used a shitty Remo. I suggest using an Aquarian Studio-X Power Dot 12 inch with this because its the strongest so far and im constantly beating on this snare and that head doesn't break for a long ass time. Enjoy, kids.
