  • beautiful fit and finish

As reviewed by Matt on 1/26/2010

I am in a hard working '80s coverband in Cincinnati, OH. These drums were bought with the strict intent of live use only. The quality of the drum is fantastic. So far this kit has been a joy to play. One drawback is the tom mounts that come with the kit. They are standard Sound Percussion ball socket. They constantly moved from there set positions no matter how tight I got them. I switched them out to DW and problem solved. I tried several heads on this kit and settled with a EMAD on the kick and coated vintage emperors on the toms. The finish on this kit is awesome and looks killer under stage lights. The sound of the kick is a tight "boom" and the toms are warm and rich. I recommend this kit to any professional or starter with the funds.

  • I love my little Squealer

As reviewed by Cole on 9/13/2010

I've been playing drums for about for about 7 years now. I play mostly harder rock. but I like to mess around with all kinds of music. This kit is amazing! To start out the finish on this thing is sick. its hard to tell in the picture but its really a kit that changes colors every time its in different light. If you look at this kit from a side angle it almost looks like a sheet of black ice. but when light its it you see the red it and its amazing. The sound of this kit is also amazing. You can tell its a very high quality kit. When I bought it a also got the snare that matches the kit and it also sounds amazing!! The only thing negative about this kit is that the hardware is a shine finish. I would have liked a black but its not that big of a deal. So if your thinking about getting this kit I would say yes. or at least get one of there snare drums :)

  • Great Drumset.

Asian Maple sounds fine, ball sockets work fine. Stays in tune. Looks great. Sounds great. Floor tom sounds like rolling thunder in North Carolina Mountains. Kryger out
