The new Plush Cerberus Tri-Mode overdrive pedal was designed by Andy Fuchs of Fuchs Audio Technology and is built under the Plush brand overseas in one of the most respected electronic manufacturing facilities.

The Cerberus features premium internal components, which are selected for low noise and superior tone. The exterior finish is a hard guitar grade polyurethane finish, which is silk screened and then baked to lock on the labeling and harden the clear coat. The Cerberus Tri-Mode overdrive provides three distinctive overdrive gain and clipping modes, as well as allowing you to carefully adjust both the input and output gain to perfectly tailor your pedal to your own unique personal sound! The green mode is a High gain rock mode an “English Style” plexi voice with sparkle, edge and grit. The blue mode is a medium gain blues mode in the “Dumble Style” with a mid driven smooth overdrive and highly touch sensitive. The red mode is a low gain rock mode “American style” rock mode with more midrange drive than English mode and smoother clipping when driven hard. It sounds more like a tube rectified style sagging vintage American amp.

Really Versatile Pedal

By Joshua Thompson

Comments about Plush Cerberus Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a very interesting overdrive/distortion pedal, and a very good one, but don't be surprised or disappointed if it does not grab you at first. It has 3 modes to it. The green mode is a Marshall JTM/plexi mode, red emulates an American amp, blue is Dumble. For those that don't know, Alexander Dumble makes the world's most expensive amps, and started by modding Fender Blackfaces. Andy Fuchs himself makes great boutique amps, and this pedal is pretty great once you dial it in. My favorite part about it is you can adjust the incoming gain and tone from your signal chain as well as the outgoing signal from it. What I found is the pedal works best if it has at least a boosted or compressed clean signal going in first, or some type of light overdrive. Just be patient with it, you'll find your sound in there. Takes both tubescreamer and non-TS type pedals really well. Lots of versatility in there. Give it a spin!
