Strobe-On-String—a new way to tune.

The revolutionary Planet Waves S.O.S. Bass Tuner pulses two out-of-phase LED light beams directly onto the vibrating string. When the string is out of tune, the two lights will visually dance on the string being tuned. As you approach in-tune status, the movement slows down and eventually stops when you are perfectly in tune. This revolutionary visual tuning system enables precision tuning in silent or noisy environments, without the need for audible sound or sensing of any kind.

Planet Waves S.O.S. Strobe Pick Bass Tuner Features:

  • For 4, 5, or 6-string bass
  • Ergonomic design
  • Light-based tuning
  • Auto-power off
  • CR1620 battery included

SOS tuner

this tuner is pretty good. the only thing i didn't like about it is that it doesn't tell you which way the string needs to be tuned, so you have to experiment and see if tuning it one way makes it more or less in tune. also, it can be difficult to tell if the lights are completely still or not. if you are one of those people that have to have their guitar perfectly in tune, i would recommend getting a different tuner.
