No need to guess, no need for a mess. Get accurate, hassle free humidity control.

Planet Waves, in collaboration with Humidipak®, brings you the first two-way humidity controller that maintains a constant 45% relative humidity level. The patented Planet Waves Humidipak completely eliminates all the guesswork and anxiety of maintaining your musical instrument's proper humidity level. No more guessing if or when to refill the humidifier and worrying about drips or mess. Unlike all refillable humidifiers, the Humidipak acts as a gauge because it provides true "two-way" purified humidity control. It adds or reduces moisture only as needed to maintain 45% RH - the ideal climate for wooden instruments such as acoustic guitars.Just place 2 packets in the double pouch. Put the double pouch over your D and G strings and let it hang down into the soundhole. Place the third packet under your guitar's headstock in its case. Close the case and you're done. The packet will last anywhere from 2-6 months, depending on the humidity where you are. When the packet become firm, discard and replace. The Humidipak humidity controller is as simple as that!

  • Better than expected

As reviewed by Alan on 12/19/2010

I tried the Humidpaks over the past several months and was delighted to find that they exceeded my expectations. I live on an island off the coast of Maine where weather conditions change constantly. Humidipak has allowed me to forget the stress I constantly lived with in trying to maintain my Martins in the best possible condition.

  • Cheaped out on the Mesh Holders

As reviewed by Canoemandan on 4/5/2011

The mesh holders on the Humidipaks that I bought when they first came out were much nicer than the ones they sell now. The sound hole mesh holders had a divider strip between them that was substantial and had a little loop on it. The new packets are very flimsy. My last replacement packets lasted quite a few months but the new ones I just put in my case started to harden up after about 3 weeks. I called them and they sent me some free replacements which was nice of them. I think there may be some issues with Humidipak trying different formulations so that they can maximize how many they sell. Obviously the longer they last the less they will sell so, if they can get them to last only 3 months instead of 6 (like my early ones did) they'll make more money. All in all they have worked very well for me but the jury is still out on the latest packets.

  • Great Humidifier

As reviewed by Tom on 3/12/2011

I have a humidity gauge in with the packs. The reading on the gauge reads 42%. It seems to be working great. I am not 100% confident with my gauge so I think it is probably at a constant 45%. I would definately buy it again. I am not sur if I would get the refills though. Unless I am missing something, it is cheaper by $5 to just buy the entire kit again. I don't know why the refills cost more. The only two downfalls for me is that one, you have to buy more and more refills when these runout instead of just adding more water to it like all of the others. Two, the logo patch that is sewn onto the case always gets caught on the strings when inserting it and removing it. It's really not that big of a deal if you remember to pull the string over. Those are the only reasons I am rating it a 4. Otherwise I would rate it a 5 for performance.
