Superior conductivity, and durability Solid, static-free connection with virtually every standard jack manufactured.

The Planet Waves Gold-Plated 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable offers you ear-perfect frequency response, double-insulated/double-shield coverage, and the lowest handling noise of any cables on the market. 8 "banana-like" compression springs in the shank of the plug compress, making excellent contact while providing additional mechanical holding force. The plug is soldered, covered with an internal copper shield tube, and then over-molded, first with a rigid PVC to encapsulate the solder joints, and then with a flexible polymer for unprecedented strain relief. This virtually indestructible construction is so tough, so durable, that Planet Waves gives this cable a limited lifetime warranty.

Planet Waves Gold-Plated 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable Features:

  • Static-free connection
  • Near-perfect frequency response
  • 3-layer plug connection coverage
  • Limited lifetime warranty

Excellent Cable

I have a 20 ft Planet Waves instrument cable and I absolutly love it. I play through a tube amp with 2 guitars that have single coil pickups and this cable reduces the noise, while still allowing all the sweet tone to come through. My Strat didnt lose any of the its quackiness or bluesy sounds. I have tried many cables, but this one beats them all. Seems to be built like a tank, and has a lifetime warranty, but the quietness and the tone are it's best attributes. Get one, you wont be sorry.

Planet Waves Gold-Plated 1/4" Straight Instrument

This Planet Waves cable is a good cable to use. I play at a church and out of everyone there. Its used at least five day a week if not more. An has been pluged in to like 1000 times. So I think its a good cable that also sounds pretty good.

Great Cables!

I own four 5' lengths of Planet Waves Gold-Plated 1/4" Straight Instrument Cables (Item #PW-G-05), and will now use no other brand of cable. These cables are durable, and provide a great connection to your equipment. The gold-plated connections also guard against the corrosion that other metals are prone to, and the double-insulated / dounble-shielded cables stop hum and triboelectric noise dead in its tracks! Planet Waves cables are plugged into a total of twenty 1/4" jacks in my total setup, and they deliver an awesome signal! Planet Waves guarantees all of its cables for life, and they're built to last a lifetime! These cables are well-worth the investment!

Great Cable

I use this cable for the mono out of my Korg MS-20 analogue synthesizer. My MS-20 sounds much more lively than I did compared to a cheap HOSA 1/4" cable. This cable is a bit expensive, and that's probably why I only own one of them. However, they come with a lifetime warranty, and if I needed more 1/4" instrument cables I would definately consider this as an option.

Very good quality cable

The planet waves cables are great cables. Although they are somewhat expensive, they have great sound and come with a lifetime warranty, where planet waves will replace a dead cable at no cost. Thus in essence, you are buying one cable for your lifetime. Really a good cable, buy some for great sound.
