The Planet Waves Straight Instrument Cable with 1/4" Plug and Circuit Breaker eliminates the problem of loud pops and other distracting noises when you attempt to change guitars while the amp is live. When the button is pushed, the cable shorts while remaining plugged into your guitar, making on-stage guitar changes a snap, and eliminating any chance of sound bursts. Once the cable is shorted, remove the cable from the guitar being used and plug the cable into the next instrument. Press the button again to reactivate the cable signal.

Good but don't last

I bought one of these when i bought my bass last summer and it worked great for about 6 months an then it stopped working. It wouldn't pass any sound through it even when the circuit breaker was pressed. Since there is a lifetime warranty on these i took it back and got a brand new one and it has worked fine for the past 6 or 7 months but now it has totally died. Another problem is that the cable is so stiff, it kinks up if you move too much and can be a pain to untangle. Great idea for a product, just not durable enough.

NICE

these cables are the BEST! who ever said they suck did somthing to them because they last a lifetime. Aslo i move around a lot and it follows me so the only reason I can think of for the cable breaking in you took it apart. By the way they are EXTREMLY EASY to repalce yourself

Outstanding Cable with Sweet Feature!

I own the 15' variety of the Planet Waves Circuit Breaker 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable (Item #PW-AG-15), and will no longer use any other brand of cable. The circuit breaker feature is AWESOME, allowing me to instantly and quietly mute my instrument whenever I need to! Being part of the Cable Station line of products, they?re also easy to customize or repair! These cables are durable and provide a great connection to your equipment. Disapointing

I bought one of these cables about a year ago and the thing has already crapped out, it has a major short in it. Not only does it have that problem but you cannot fix it yourself because of the design. If you are the type of musician that moves alot while playing pass this one up!

Great purchase

I play both acoustic and electric at my church and Circuit Breakers are an absolute life saver for when I need to switch back and forth. The cables themselves are amazing, but to add to it, you can completely cut all the noise. In our old auditorium, we'd get feedback when the Pastor was preaching. With the circuit breakers, I was able to prevent that from happening at the touch of a button. It was great! And now, I just love them for when I need to tune and so forth. Great value overall too as far as price is concerned.
