Comments about Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 Pro CD Player:

If you want to abandon true DJing, and have everything done for you digitally, then go with this player, it is the best. Otherwise, be a true DJ and stick with vinyl and a pair of Technics 1200's.

What else is there?

Comments about Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 Pro CD Player:

I am a pretty big DJ from the Washington DC area. I DJ clubs three nights a week and have won many battles (so this review is coming from a top notch DJ). Transferring from vinyl to CD's was bound to happen and we all knew it. So, I picked up these CDJ's because there was virtually nothing else out. They are very good. Almost perfect, in fact. It reads very scratched CD's that others won't. My boy bought the Numark ones and I used them quite a bit. The CDJ's dont have that nice vinyl platter, but they make up for it in initial quality. The load time is faster, the digital line that circles makes juggling easy and the display is large. The only problem I had was when some stupid broad spilled a drink on it when I was DJing at Tequila Beach. Fortunately my boy cleaned it up inside and it was like new. Pretty much nothing should go wrong with it.Cons:*Eventhough adjustable, the platter is a bit sticky.*Knobs can fall off*When using the hot cue and loading very quickly, there is a bit of lag, which sucks.*Doesn't play MP3'sPro's:*Sound quality is great and reads damaged cd's*Juggling is an absolute cinch.*Very portable*Feels very sturdy and easy to work. The verdict:I like it a lot. It is not as big and "real" looking as the Numark, or as sexy as the Technics, but makes up for it in being reliable and universal. I still use my vinyl at home and in battles. I use my CDJ's for clubs. So... thats pretty much it... Oh yeah, you can shake the living hell out of it, and it rarely skips. If you have questions before buying one, hit me at

Comments about Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 Pro CD Player:

This table is lightweight and has many features (complicating for a beginner though) The price is a little bit too high but it is industry standard. I would like for it to play mp3's also. But its well worth the money. The 800 is good too so people who dont have a grand to drop on this, check out the CDJ800.
