Excellent for Clubs or Mobile
I own a pair of these as well, I believe these are excellent choice for the Mobile DJ who doesn't need to break the bank or do extreme mixing! Also the Minimum I would recommend to a club (knowning some club owners like to pinch every penny they can) This will put you in the "Super-Club" status with all DJ's with the Hugh Investment. I would also recomment these to "Newwer DJ's" As this pair is a great way hone your skills to be able to rock the house on ANY Genre Platform! With the scratch tricks I do these out perform the original 800 in keeping it's place on the platter!! A+

the cdj 800's are the best on the market other than the 1000's and the dvj. i own a pair and love how i can use my mp3's at all of my shows. they are truly a peice of art.

Awsome
I have owned 1 of these for about a year and it has been outstanding. The only thing that i sometimes hate about it is that on complicated beats, the auto-BPM does not read correctly and there is no tap! For scratching, this is possibly the best thing out there.

Don't Waste Time With The Rest Get The Best.
They aren't the industry standard for no reason... I used to say to myself that I would never go digital, & leave my 1200's. All though it took me some time to break away I wish I would of done it sooner. These things handle like turnatbles and in many ways better.

The Hotness
I've owned a pair of CDJ-800s for the past 3 years, and I have never regretted making the transition away from Technics turntables for an instant. It is not hard to find many vinyl purists who will claim that "the sound quality isn't as good" or that playing cd's is somehow inferior to playing records. The fact of the matter is, when I walk into a club with a book of cd's versus vinyl, I'm able to bring exponentially more music in a much more portable format. There is reduced problems with song-skipping, no feedback issues, and little maintenance required (all common problems with playing records). In additon to these more obvious points, many dj's don't think the consider the advanced mixing options offered with the CDJ decks. The ability to set cue points on the fly, return to that cue point with the touch of a button, sophisticated looping options, master tempo lock, pitch adjust to +/- 100 make mixing music much more fun and entertaining for both dj and audience. In all the time I've owned these decks, they've never once failed me. I highly recommend them to any level dj interested in making the transition to cd's, or to a creative performer looking to add a 3rd unit onto their already existing setup.

THE BEST FOR THE PRICE
Ive been having these for a while and they seem to be the best I have come acros, I mean come one theyre Pioneer. The one feature I think it shouldve had would be the hot cues that the 1000's have. Other than that everything else is good, vinyl, looping, pitch settings, and mp3 playback. The best out there. I suggest you get them.

This is all you need.
The Pioneer CDJ-800 is really all you need unless you're a performance level turntablist. A standard in clubs throughout Europe (I saw them in every club I hit in Spain and France this summer), and spreading through the U.S., this turntable matches the CDJ-1000 in terms of quality and durability. Many DJs even prefer the 800 over the 1000 because the jog wheel is more comfortable and quick return function makes scratching into the next song simple. Though it lacks the effects found on the 1000s, with a good mixer, this turntable does everything you want and more. I own two, and don't ever want anything else.

NEW REVIEW - deffinitely the best
A lot of others have more features , but these are almost as simple as 1200's... Dont waste your time with other brands . get used to what's in the clubs to start with.

DJ FRIENDLY
After using the 800MK2's I stopped using the 1000's. I personally think the 1000's are hyped up too much. Don't get me wrong they are great... but the money you save and the technology of the 800's there is no reason to spend that much money on the 1000's. You could get 2- 800's and a decent mixer for the price of 2-1000's. I have 4 of them and I love them.
Ok, Pioneer what's next???????
